Love the mountains in this episode. I really didn't know there were so many different types of mountains in the west. And such a variety of valleys too.

Nice bunch of lales today. Yeah. Loved the extended screen time for the bustling Pika. The last lake with the shoreline trees reflected in the water was especially beautiful.

beautiful and rugged feast for the eyes😊. So great to know you are not entirely alone on trail and have others looking out for you and vice versa. It appears to be a good arrangement where respect reigns and honor abounds. God is good to you! Thanks for all your hard work. It’s inspiring and delightful.

Morning, Mike. Loved the scenery today. Absolutely beautiful. Your videography is great. So much to see. I'm sure it is difficult to decide what to include for us. Thanks for the time you put into these videos. I have enjoyed this journey. Take care, Mike. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hey Mike - I had to admit I was surprised that you took the Anaconda alternate but I certainly don't fault you! 160 mile carries in that terrain are tough! I recall your comments about the heavy/long carry you made through the Sierras on your PCT thru-hike and the lesson(s) learned. In fact, I considered your comments when I chose not to do the long carry through the Wind River Range and went into Pinedale on my sobo thru hike. Stay safe and enjoy the last leg of this journey. You know Mike. I never thought about it but it gets harder the closer you get to Winter because the days are getting shorter and the darkness is getting longer.

Thanks for including what you're eating. Hope you'll keep it up for awhile. I'm an over 50 hiker and I always struggle keeping my energy up. Thanks again!

When it comes to logistical decisions versus the Red Line, I personally would only focus on, continuous footsteps to Canada.

No hail or downpour at Storm Lake? Mother Nature is kind to you! You could probably get a ride to Anaconda where the CDT redline crosses Mill Creek Road, but I understand your choice. Either way you are getting spectacular views.

Hi Mike. Rugged and Cold, what a way to wake up. And your still able to get some great videos. What a climb up rainbow mountain, you could hear it in your breathing. Those switchbacks are narrow with one side straight down. Those climbs are unbelievable. The alternate route was definitely the way to go. I can understand about the being upset by the mileage, but the resupply is more important for your safety. Be Strong, Be Safe, and thanks for taking us on this Journey.

The redline through Butte is pretty boring. You didn't miss much. ~StormDasher
