The second before you said I meet my twin, I thought you where back on your own yard😀 That landscape of yours is absolute religious, at least for me who lives in south Sweden. And I totally agree on your thoughts🤠 That graderdriver you asked for is probarbly not even close. Just imagine, tops 4 km/h and then going back the same way.🤓 And still most roads are in pretty good shape. The deep wide ditches are remarkable.

The north is a wonderful place, the pace of life is slower and the work is harder but the benefits are greater. The roads are very good when you think about how long and remote they are. The winters destroy them and in the spring they are fixed again. They do kill regular cars though. Thus the Volvo's.

Howdy Simon- I’m happy for you that you found your twin because that should make the world a better place, at least in your beautiful country. It’s amazing you were able to get exactly what you needed for your generator to make it start and run. Hi Simon. Thanks for the videos! The 7 position switch labelled with combinations of R, S and T is most likely the selector switch for the volt meter. R, S and T are sometimes used as phase labels. Moving that off of the 0 (off) position will most likely make the volt meter work. Would expect the switch positions to be the three phase to phase voltages and the three phases to neutral. These may be on the main output so may not read without the output cable being live! I assume the majority of that panel is contractors and control relays for the auto transfer switch between grid and generator. Good luck with working out the rest! I suspecg the ancilaries like the venterlation, heat and the light are fairly simple and are most likely controlled just from the two thermostats on the wall above the air intake. Best wishes to you!

Great job, i'm thinking im the winter will be usefull to keep the furnace pumps and also lights. The Amp meter will show smth only you are having a load to get those amps. The voltmeter should show smth but i think you will need those fuses. Maybe the fan and the cooling sistem will work also if you put the fuses. Also, maybe is shuting down due to temperature, maybe is having some sensors or is detecting that the cooling part is not functional at all for now.
@arctic-rebel
@arctic-rebel 4 күн бұрын
My Exact thoughts, I wondered if I needed a draw. Those fuses are only for external power, all the other items run from the second box which is connected and does have the fuses in so just need to get the switch configuration correct and it should all work.

Front end work keeps you in shape.... always sucks though...

Absolutely entertaining Simon! I really did enjoy seeing what goes on under a vehicle with repairs and maintenance. And yes! You made the whole darn process look so easy.😊. It would be interesting to see what the under carriage of the new vehicles look like considering they like the top parts seem to be aluminium. Dent like buggery in a hailstorm, BUT…..a supposedly a huge rust reduction. Is salt used on the roads during winter over there? Sorry the rains came and put a stop to the fishing expedition. And as for Kasper, keeping the supervisory role…..did extremely well keeping out of the way bless him. Big hugs and kisses from us to him please and wishing the family a wonderful weekend.❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪

Hi Anne, they do not use salt here in the north, as you know we drive on the snow and ice without problem for most of the year. They do use salt in the south in the cities. But it is all made worst by the low grade and thin steel used. The difference between this van and a 20 year older Toyota Land cruiser is night and day. Same with the old G20 Chevy vans we have here they look like the day they rolled out of the factory underneath. All part of the changing world, you know this. I know I don't show Kasper much but he is never more than a few ft from me, he is a star. Thank you, you all be safe.

I've used a ball joint puller once in my life when I was 15 until the old boy training me told me never to use the tool again. You simply put a lever pushing/pressing down on which ever part gives you leverage on the ball joint, then using a hammer you sharply shock/hit the surround of where threaded part goes through & It'll pop out without any damage to the ball joint or the rubber gator, It works 99.999% of the time. Always leave the nut on loosely enough to cover the threads incase you miss & hit the threads.
@arctic-rebel
@arctic-rebel 11 күн бұрын
The old boy was correct, he was working of old vehicles made from different steel grades. It will also work when over a pit or on a lift. To get a sharp shock you need distance and a clear path and the leverage on the bar. When any one of those is missing you need an alternative, a puller. When all else fails and you are replacing the part you can use force. But thank you for taking the time to share your expertise, that is how we all learn.
