Did you have to sand the top to get rid of the ridge?

Then you do better and post a video tutorial, rather than leaving nasty and unnecessary comments on someone else's

Surely it's no good weighing the resin unless the instructions tell you to mix by weight rather than volume.

Oh man.. who stirs their resin like thay. No wonder there are so many bubbles. I dont want to be mean but if you want to show tutorials you should probably know the correct way of doing something before show others. No wonder your out of breath my dear. Slow her down and try warming your resin before mixing .😂

My first time watching you. I am a complete novice but I am intrigued by what I am seeing. Thank you for showing us where to begin. I didn't catch what kind of sand you used. Would Knetic sand work?

Cool technique-string pull!!! Painting the back edges black before putting on the cork backing would make a more finished look… Love your design!!! 😊

As I'm watching, I was wondering why you wanted to put gray on top because it was just so beautiful with just the black and gold. It's your project, no disrespect. I'm glad you didn't add the gray

You are Staring too fast . And you wouldn’t have bubbles just slow it down a little. And I really love your coasters.

The faster you stir, the worse the bubbles will be. I love that you weigh your resin for accuracy.

Awesome! You mentioned adding something else, I saw someone add a tiny shark, black , vinyl, cut with a Cricut, it looked like a shadow of a shark swimming.

I love your work! Just a question. Do you sell your alcohol ink and resin products to the public and are you not worried about the fact that it looses colour after a couple of weeks? Or how do you avoid it? I would love to do large painting but are very scared about customers returning my product due to this fact. Would love a reply from you thanks

I have not had issues with the colors fading. My mom has one of the tumblers I did 2 years ago and it is still just as vibrant as when I made it. I think it has a lot to do with the quality of the ink and resin you use!

I never thought to just measure it on digital scales in one cup. So clever. I will be doing this from now on.
@HappyCraftingLady
@HappyCraftingLady Жыл бұрын
That’s actually not the best way to do it. I discovered sometime after making these that the parts don’t weigh the same! It’s better to measure out the amounts in different cups and mix together. Less room for error.

I have since stopped using a torch and started just spritzing the tops with rubbing alcohol to pop bubbles. The torch can add other problems I was unaware of.

Beautiful....Could I use plastic cap as casting or will it stick to it?
@HappyCraftingLady

The only things I know for sure it won’t stick to are silicone molds! Resin adheres to basically everything else! Even the silicone at times if you mess up!

I have a suggestion for one of these trays. I might even try it myself because I have that mold.. using rubberstamps and pigment ink and stamping images. Pigment ink is not water soluble.

This is fantastic! i don't know what that little vinyl cutting tool you used, but it gives me hope that maybe I can do that one day :). (I have very little space... or electrical outlets). I think your humor is fantastic, as well! "Glampire" 😁😆😀. Thanks for this video. ( Oh! And that tool you used to burnish is called a "bone folder..." they used to be made out of bone, and I got one for book binding years ago and *love* it.
