@@lundoftheeast219 Too early to make a good guess, but a few trees on the Iron Range are beginning to show some fall color. First week of October has typically been the best week for riding the Jackpot trail with peak color!

@@Dialed1 Glad TKolbo finally made it to Spirit and was able to Link up with his old Wyoming enduro teammate Jacob! The locals are so fast, quickest way to improve your riding is to try to keep up with better riders! Thanks man, been putting more hours on the bike than ever and getting that suspension dialed in, hope you’re back on the saddle soon!

Does Dr. Diablo have the feature where you ride up a wood skinny on to a boulder and then bank left if you want or go right - where in person, seemingly to me - it looks almost completely vertical for 12-15 feet down to a relatively flat bottom. If that is the same feature that I see on this video the camera does not do it justice at all!! In person I was like WTF!

Wow! What an amazing day of sick shredding!! Great riding, Andrew. What a great group of riders, too. Something looks different on your camera angle? Did you change the angle on your chin mount? This angle is the best that I’ve seen, in my opinion.

@@robonbikes Knowlton Rocks is probably my favorite bit of trail along with Monkey Business. The first one is unsanctioned 🏴☠️ and the final clip is the double rock roll on Steel Toe gapping into the second rock slab!

@@Dialed1 What a day out in the Wilds is right…thanks again for the help that day!! Checked off a bunch of the heavy features here before that wreck that fortunately wasn’t serious. I’m not attempting Diggendirt again anytime soon, but there are several other new trails I’ve seen on Trailforks here, definitely need to get back to one of the best trail systems in the Midwest!

@@rileygoesoutside One of the best trail systems in the Midwest! The terrain here is unrelenting with the rocky chunk, it’s right up there with Piedmont! Hard to choose the right bike for the Wilds, the vast majority of it is brutal XC riding, but then for the really difficult features you want all the bike you can get, as seen in the video…definitely can’t blame the Spire for that OTB with a 62.5 degree HTA. The Canyon eeb would be great here

You guys knocked down a lot of big features here, great showcase of some of the most high consequence trails around. Really glad you didn’t get hurt worse on Diggendirt. That drop in is so sketchy. Haven’t ever gone down that and not in a hurry to do so.

Honesty that move looks super sketch. Really steep. Bit of a compression. Not even a bike length into a 90 deg right hand turn. Looks like you were trying to dump speed to make the turn but you were still weighted too far forward and the braking pitched you OTB. I’m guessing a lot of people blow that corner if they get both wheel down to the deck. Mad sketch. Glad you’re mostly ok 😬

Thanks, it's such a sketchy and technical feature and I'm not planning on attempting it again anytime soon. Was probably too hard on the front brake and leaning too far back. Once I made contact with the back wheel it was over...would probably go slightly faster with a more body forward position and bias right to make that 90 degree corner not as intense. Since I went OTB with the Spire's flip chip in the low setting I can't blame the bike for not being slack enough at 62.5 degrees, definitely rider error. It's always looked sketchy when I've seen other riders clear it.

@@Benshredz I’m not sure, I really like his videos too and you can tell he puts a lot of effort into them. It’s a lot of work to ride, film, and then spend hours editing; sometimes you just want to go ride your bike. But this was from last summer and he was not filming during that ride.

Thanks Rob, that’s a very good guess on what happened and what you’d normally expect. But my derailleur spectacularly failed while just pedaling up the climb, no crashes involved or derailleur impacts. Randy was riding behind me and saw it happen. It won’t hold any tension now, the usual Shimano clutch service and cleaning didn’t fix anything. We are no strangers to Shimano drivetrain mechanicals ending a ride in Duluth! New Kissing Booth and other updated trails make my favorite trail system in Minnesota even better 🤙🏻
