Great video, Andrew! It’s always fun to shred the trails with you. It’s too bad your derailleur blew up on the Skyline climb, because we were off to an epic start of riding that day. We’ll have to get together again very soon and ride Duluth.

Can’t believe it malfunctioned that severely while climbing the green return trail…at least it didn’t happen during that BOB descent! Can’t wait to ride with you again in Duluth as it’s always a great time, maybe Spirit or Piedmont again sometime next week?

Man sorry about the derailleur, crazy that happened on skyline… right turn switchback closer to the bottom? Great riding though, you make those trails look easy, bike is sounding good as well. Now I’m excited to check out Kissing Booth, those tables at the bottom look awesome!

Thanks Rob, that’s a very good guess on what happened and what you’d normally expect. But my derailleur spectacularly failed while just pedaling up the climb, no crashes involved or derailleur impacts. Randy was riding behind me and saw it happen. It won’t hold any tension now, the usual Shimano clutch service and cleaning didn’t fix anything. We are no strangers to Shimano drivetrain mechanicals ending a ride in Duluth! New Kissing Booth and other updated trails make my favorite trail system in Minnesota even better 🤙🏻

Dang Shimano stopping us cold on Duluth rides…. That’s a bummer buddy.

Man, I love Dr. Diablo. My girl will be up riding Piedmont Thursday before KA weekend and all the racing,. Just sent it to her to prep for the new changes. Thanks for posting Andrew!

Dr. Diablo is now one of my favorites with all the updates, that newly sanctioned ending roll is one of the best features around! Awesome, thanks for sharing it and I hope riding the updated trails goes well for her! Piedmont is a great place to train riding double black rock tech, gnarliest trails you can ride without signing a bike park waiver in MN!

Very nice riding! Love the trails at brewer and Piedmont!

@@Tkolbo_ Among the best in all of the Midwest! Probably the MN trails closest to feeling like you’re back in Wyomings Snowy Range!

Love this place, I’ll be there this Saturday! Hope to finally clean bob top to bottom.

@@matth8924 Can’t get enough of riding here, especially with all the new upgrades to the trails! The new riders left line towards the end of BOB makes it slightly easier, good luck on the gnar at Piedmont! 🤙🏻

Very nice. Some serious tech.

@@harrygrimley4352 Piedmont has the most serious tech in all of Minnesota outside of a bike park, that’s why it’s my favorite!

Does Dr. Diablo have the feature where you ride up a wood skinny on to a boulder and then bank left if you want or go right - where in person, seemingly to me - it looks almost completely vertical for 12-15 feet down to a relatively flat bottom. If that is the same feature that I see on this video the camera does not do it justice at all!! In person I was like WTF!
@AndrewGehn9 күн бұрын
Yes, that would be it! 10:08 The GoPro NEVER captures the actual steepness of the trail or features!
