Seems very knowledgeable going to try and adjust my idle. Shuts off when shifting into gear because low idle.

When going into neutral there’s a switch that kills one bank of cilinders so it’s easier on the gearcase. Maybe those cylinders still firing aren’t getting enough fuel or spark and it dies

Does this work on a 1981 i just rebuild the carbs and it idles but rough need to adjust the throttle or something

Nice work buddy! Everytime that VRO pulses, you will hear an audible clicking noise. Usually once every 10-20 seconds at idle. Hearing the pump clicking excessively tells you that there is an air leak into the system, or that fuel diaphragm is shot. I get so discouraged when I hear people wasting money trying to "convert" these VRO systems to regular fuel pumps. The beauty of the VRO system is you don't have to use the oiling pump if you want to premix, simply disconnect the oil line and warning harness, then premix at 50:1. That pump is relatively simple and easy to rebuild.

Great job buddy. Just one thing, that electric primer is not a "pump", it is only a valve. Not trying to criticize your english, which is great by the way, just want to clarify. So, when starting a cold engine, you must pump up the primer bulb first to develop pressure to flow through the electric primer or you will have to crank the engine until the fuel/oil pump develops enough pressure.

Is top one always shifting ? Bottom idle ? ...my 04 johnson is getting stuck in gear... when I spin the prop it has a little knock and goes away when I move the lever .. how do you adjust cable ?

Hi I have a 2015 Suzuki DF60a outboard on my Carolina skiff. The PTT goes out everyonce in a while while we are running it and will sometimes miraculously come back on after driving around. Most of the time it doesn’t. But we watched a video that said press the PTT button and tap the motor with a hammer and it starts to work again. But after a while it will stop trimming and we will then have to manually lift the engine and tap the motor again with a hammer. Any suggestions on how to fix?

How do you disconnect the shift rod after you pull pin out? Just use a screw driver to push rod in?

i have a 92 johnson 175 fast strike it will idle down to about 200 rpms after the quickstart kicks off, would this adjustment fix that or are there other things to check first

Iam experiencing my outboard stalling when changing from gear back to neautral. Could changing this sensor fix this issue?

Would a problem with the pump cause the engine to lose prime? I've replaced everything from the tank, anti siphon valve, fuel line, and primer bulb. Primer bulb gets hard and shortly after it will lose prime. I don't see any noticeable leaks in the lines or anything visible in the engine compartment.
