Great video and serious review, thanks ! In my my own experice : The vans are more expensive to acquire, run and park ! My recent teardrop experience : overall very positive and enjoyable to our surprise ! Rent one to try it out if in doubt... It's a great and safe place to cook and sleep protected from the elements even in harsh weather. In constant rain it's not a place to stay all day. Teardrop drawbacks: perhaps 1) harder to "wild camp" on parking places, 2) long vehicle tow and sometimes impossible to turn unless you unhook 3) must rely on "toilet tent" for privacy, pee in a pot, nature or go to the camping site toilets. Emptying chemical toilets in Van's is also sort of "ugly" . Nevertheless, very nice holiday with a teardrop and the "BEAN" is probably the best from the US. Market The new interest and abundance of teardrop manufacturers is amazing... If funds were not an issue I'd go for a USA full carbon construction for lightweight and saving gas... In Europe : a great compromise is the Turkish Caretta 1500, the superbly built Danish HERO and finally the Scandinavian MINK is also very cool !

Looks great!! I'm looking to buy in the next couple of months. You guys are right up there. Narrowing it down, I am looking at Bean vs Oregon for higher quality and Hiker vs Runaway for lower priced trailers. The funny thing is, the more I look the more confused I get!!!! Just today, someone brought TC Trailers to me......IF I had hair, I think I would be ripping it out!!!!!

Thanks for the great video idea. As someone who lives in the PNW, at least half of my Bean usage is for ski camping. I currently tow with a RWD Jeep Grand Cherokee on winter tires. But I am planning to swap that vehicle for soothing with AWD. Living in Seattle, I would only consider smaller vehicles, and ideally I want the smallest AWD option available that can still safely tow the Bean. I mainly wonder about towing up ski mountains on snow covered roads, and towing across snowy interstate passes, though. Is there a downside to using a Crosstrek for those applications? I can never seem to find anything online about towing a teardrop in the snow the way I do.

What about a regular Crosstrek? The tow capacity is 1/2 what the Wilderness is.

Can this be optioned with wheel/lug pattern to match tow vehicle? (specifically in my case, 37’’ tires on 6th gen bronco lug pattern)

It's nice but for the cost of a Hiker 1/3 it's still camping. A slide out kitchen would have been nice, but I guess they have to cut somewhere.

I love that you can stand up inside (even if you're tall!!!) and it has a great storage feature that works inside and outside!! 👍 It's definitely the next level up of teardrops campers! This is way better than the topo 2 escapod!

This thing would be perfect for moving caravans into very tight spots on busy campings. You could get away with smaller plots, therefore getting more paying customers on the same land…. I can see a real market for this in Europe, where camping grounds often have limited land available…. Not all customers will have a mover on the caravan, so camping owners are forced to have at least some bigger spots where there is room to maneuver a jeep. You’re all tripping over yourselves, being macho, bragging how well you can handle a trailer, but you fail to see the business opportunity it may provide…
