How much for the battery?

Whose idea was it to make you have to disassemble the entire laptop to get access to the CPU all I wanted to do was upgrade my CPU and replaced it maybe not even upgrade it I didn’t know what I was getting myself into

Where is the ram? Can we upgrade this laptop?

Congratulation for your vídeo. Could someone please tell me if there is a battery on the motherboard? The bios/cmos battery. I've searched a lot and haven't found this answer. The mine, loses the date and time every time it turns off.

Whoever the @$$hole that designed this laptop must be a screwup. Imagine trying to change the hard disk, memory ram and even a simple cmos battery is a bloody nightmare. I have an Acer that could change all the above in 2 minutes.

i have one for this model....but not for ddr2 version...mind use ddr3....its actually old but better ddr3 for better than that one

What CPU does that Satellite have? To remove the bezel with the power button..and speakers, the hinge screws have to be removed? Found a tossed out Satellite C55T A5222 (Win 8) but the CPU sticker (AMD or Intel) is gone, so will have to do a BIOS check. Is 8 GB the max RAM? Thank you

Thanks for this 👍 I decided to finally e-waste this laptop and wanted to save the RAM and HDD. It's a beautiful laptop but has so many screws. I'm glad I've never tried to open it back when I was daily driving it.

Very helpful for installing a new fan. It was clogged with dirt, causing overheating. Now, I just have to get it all put back together !

The SSD and memory cover is not as easy to get off as you make it look, but I got it off without breaking it. I'm going to upgrade the HDD to an SSD. Call me crazy. My u46e runs great actually with Ubuntu 22.04. It's my backup laptop.

It really sucks that HP did not add a second memory chip clip to this computer. Best upgrade is limited to 8M of ram.

Thanks for the video. very detailed. I did break the keyboard connector/lever. It was very hard. But, using system keyboard. I am having black screen problem with and without battery. Appears to be the CMOS battery (based on CMOS battery function). Will change it and see. Think of any other parts issue? Having removed all parts would be grateful if you could provide your insight on this issue. Thanks.
