Also random events are just painful, paradox games love to just constantly slow you down with them but vic3 spams 20 bad events for one good. You dont get all three as random communities in Utopia Builder. It will always be 2 opposing communities and a third random. I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. It is a fantastic sequel. It's much deeper in the number chrinching and management side. I had crashes as well with my freshly built PC that I put together to play this game, my old one would never be able to even get past the main menu. Haha I fixed it by turning off the default settings made my CPU and RAM overclock. After that, no problems. 11bit has already talked about fixes to do in meantime for other issues, while they are releasing hotfixes as well. That's another huge postive, 11Bit is very transparent and communicates with us regularly. They respond well to our feedback.

Multiculturalism is a plague that destroys stability and is not taken into account in the game, just as socialism in the long term reduces the quality of life, as well as efficiency, because no one works on someone else's or common property as if they were working on their own. It's almost as if the creators are pushing a globalist agenda.

Honestly, over my time playing what i found is that there is one reason for the sameyness of all the games. No global market. The trade is so annoying i just end up playing every nation the same. Build up yhr construction and rush it, all the other stuf if just side stuff to bulding coal/sulfur/iron mines and expanding tooling. Compare that to vic 2 where you can specialize.
@Conduit9992 ай бұрын
The game is really weird in the way that you can’t have an export economy I hate how the game decides how much you can trade with other countries by deciding what level the trade route is at. The way they simulate trade in game is not even close to realistic nor is it even a fun addition to the game I also hate how you have to individually set up trade routes why aren’t factory owners autonomously setting up trade routes if goods are expensive.

But isn't it just realistic politics for a Tsar still to have to manage Interest groups? No one rules alone
@Conduit9992 ай бұрын
Definitely they still have to account for what other factions in the country want but I think the game can already simulate that by having a huge increase of radicals if an absolute monarch were too pass an unpopular law. I understand that it could just be an abstraction of an absolute ruler actually making the law workable with in the country’s current legal system but it should be a different system than what democracy’s deal with in the game. It already somewhat models this by having an in game event where if you have an autocratic government you can skip to the next phase when passing a law but it decreases approval of certain interests groups I think the law system should just be like that instead of having to the 3 rng game if you have an autocratic government. One of the more commonly cited upsides of dictatorships is that decisions can be made quickly without having to consult a bunch of different people and I think that should be in the game. When napoleon wanted something done he didn’t have to get anyone’s say so even to his own detriment like when he made the executive decision to install his brother on the Spanish throne that obviously upset his cabinet and the people of Spain but he still made the decision and it was executed according to his will.

Funny how this alternative Virginian commanders plantation only had white field hands and house servants in the intro... I they choose to go all "Washington" origin, they should at least have the balls to show the good and the bad parts of history. Hell, make slavery part of the economy (don't know if it is...) just as it was historically.
@Conduit9994 ай бұрын
I don’t entirely blame them it’s not really “fun” to bring up how the founding fathers were slave owners nor would it really add anything to the game to highlight that aspect if you know anything about the founding fathers you probaly know that most owned slaves. But slaves are a part of the economy in game so it’s not like they just neglect that whole part of the conflict and they allow you to decide whether or not you allow slaves to volunteer in the colonial army and Dunmore’s proclamation is also mentioned so they don’t just ignore the whole issue.

It’s too bad that Sony is sitting on a mountain of unique IPs that they’re doing nothing with. They should really make MCC (Master Chief Collection) style collections of their older IPs for PS5/PC to gauge if there’s enough interest to warrant a sequel. Or they could do Dead Space/Resident Evil style remakes of their older games that stay mostly faithful, while improving on the formula. I’ve been wanting to play Sony’s “Halo Killers” for a while now (we all know the only thing that could kill Halo was itself under 343). Thankfully, even if they don’t make collections/remakes I can still play those on my Steam Deck through emulation (should really get around to figuring that out). If there were to be a Fall of Man remake some of the things I’d want to see are giving Nathan Hale a voice like they did for Issac in the Dead Space remake (that allowed him to be a fleshed out character, and further develop the world). Use the magic of hindsight to better foreshadow the events of future games, tie things in with lore that didn’t exist at the time, fix plot holes that existed in the original, and maybe even show other aspects of the universe (the two books, comic, and those spinoffs). Throw in weapons and enemies from other titles where appropriate, improving the vehicle sections (so weird how they didn’t bring those back for 2/3. Sure, they were kind of jank and half baked, but if Insomniac stayed the course we could’ve gotten something truly great. A big chunk of why Bungie’s Halo was so fun is because they expertly mixed on foot and vehicle sections to keep the gameplay fresh and make the player feel awesome. Killzone also went crazy with the vehicles, and those added a lot of variety to the games), make the ai smarter (allies and enemies), keep the level design mostly faithful aside from some implements/fixes here and there, and back port weapons upgrading through use like in 3 (I’m sure I’d like that one the most since it’s basically Half-Life 2. One of the chapters is literally just Ravenholm with the serial numbers filed off). I’d also want them to bump up the amount of regenerating health bars from 4 to 6 in the later missions, and throw in non-regenerating armor pick ups. Sadly, that almost certainly WON’T happen. We know form the Insomniac leaks that NOTHING Resistance related is in the pipeline, Sunset Overdrive 2 isn’t happening, there’s only one Ratchet and Clank slated for the future, and now Sony mostly just has them working in the Marvel sweatshops (kind of like what Activision did to some of their studios by forcing them into the CoD mines). Since Insomniac has no interest in remastering, remaking, or creating new entries you’d seep Somebody else to make it. Plus, Sony has no real incentive to bring it back since Microsoft will inevitably put their games on PlayStation.
