@johnkovacs9577 I would definitely do it if I were you. Better safe than sorry. Yes, it looks cool anyway, in my opinion, but from a safety stand point you don't want your hood flying up at 130 obstructing your vision.

@SmackeysGarage overall, they usually aren't. For the most part, they're pretty reliable as long as you maintain them properly. Except for Mercury, that is. Actually, maybe they're not bad anymore, I really don't know. But when I bought this boat I had always been a Johnson fan. Well they weren't in business anymore so I was going to go with the Mercury. The dealer asked me how often I wanted it in the shop? So Yamaha it was. Lol

Hmmmmm. I’ve never run afoul of the powers that be, but maybe that’s what happened. My craftsman gcv 200 did not have that stem just the jet to screw out. I didn’t see it come out and am not sure if this one had one???

@michaelcostner8703 it's most likely stuck up inside the carburetor. It tapping on the side (lightly) doesn't work, sometimes re installing the jet and removing it again will be enough to make it come out. You may need to do it once or twice even. Try to avoid sticking anything in there to pry it out. I guess I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that it's in there.

@michaelcostner8703 one last thought, you can try a little compressed air, blow it into the jet opening. Just don't use 100psi, full blast. Just a short squirt of air, you don't want to loose it, or damage any seals.

The reason for this is because there is one batch whose connector is missing a turn signal plug. So that leads to this problem. Now it's solved perfectly. Thank you for your suggestions on this product. If necessary, we can provide you with updated products.

I'm a disabled combat vet myself, served in the Army for 8 years with a deployment in Iraq back in 2008-09. The window buttons move to the center so you can take the doors off, the weight difference isn't relevant. The Hoss 3.0 suspension is absolutely amazing. I have the Badlands Sasquatch trim and am currently upgrading from factory to the Hoss 3.0 and performance tie rods from Ford that way I can run 37s 😃

I don't recall removing the air filter. I don't think you need to, in fact, if I didn't include it in the video, then I didn't remove it. I basically covered everything you should need to do to make it run. Honestly I think it's a poor design, but then I'm not an engineer. Lol
