I like these little bits of creativity, keep it up! It's the type of thing I often do myself, even if my ideas often gets reversed right away for being too dumb. 12:22 But you might get to experience metal fume fever. It's always fun the first time! /s

Back in the Day (in the 80's) the company I worked for offered two types of keycaps to our customers: double-shot moulded, and ink-etched. One of our customers (a major airline) initially went for the lower cost option for their booking hall. After being in use for a while, they changed their mind. I was tasked to take a small team to swap out the old ones in batches. At that point the keycaps were mostly blank, funnily the operators did not care, as they touch-typed, and only looked at the screen, not their keyboards :) Enjoyed the snacks BTW :)

Man! Penrose tiles and kinetic sculptures? Music to my eyes!))) If it was somehow thematically connected to some DnD environment or would produce some light-refraction effect or forced perspective shadow illusion or would speak about LGBT rights - I'd instantly die of excitement)))

The two gears being offset makes the bottom gear interact with the bottom of the top gear, very clever design, indeed.

One of my favorite upgrades is heavy duty leveling feet on floor-standing machines. I did that for my table saw, drill press, and wood lathe. Adds adjustable height, and makes it so much more stable. I thought you were going there on the blaster, the casters are cool too.

Interesting back-and-forth comparison showing how terrible those DJI mics can be, or the way they are implemented to "improve" the level and denoising.

The problem I see with dye-sub keycaps is, especially with the way I type, that dye is gonna re-sublimate onto my fingers and leave me with a blank key very soon. Interesting to see if you come up with a way to counteract that?

Disappointed you didn't make actual snacks, i feel misled. 13:19 if it's made in Bulgaria, its certainly not made from Aluminum, but from Aluminium, because Aluminum is hard to get in Europe and has to be imported from North America specially, without being any better than Aluminium.

In the US aluminum just refers to the metal, not a specific brand of the metal
@yetzt
@yetzt 2 сағат бұрын
@@aenetanthony Aluminium is metric while Aluminum is the imperial version that can only be machined to fractions of inches instead of metric units like millimeters. When you ned something to be 20 millimeters, you have to machine it to 13/16" which is 20.6375mm, but probably close enough for Americans. You can try take it down a little with an imperial metal file, but it might ruin the file. But thats a metric joke, americans don't get these.

Great video! But ummm... Joke good. But Timezone removal for real, bad. Every watch would be useless with even minor travel in the wrong direction, every discussion or organisation of a meeting over distance would require translation to a different time. Every position for every member. Not just potentially a few zones. If handled only electronically, fine, but verbally everything would need translation, even for people not even that distant of you don't want to be waiting for X or Y minutes for every potential slight misunderstanding per attendee 😂. If you were going to do timezone destruction you'd be as well of having every time be noon plus long, or every watch on UTC, and know your own noon. Erk! Sounds awful. Time zones are great. 👍😅

My favorite fun fact to bring up during icebreakers: The day December 30th, 2011 does not exist in my life. I was in Western Samoa when they switched over the International Time Zone, therefore I went to bed on Dec 29 and woke on Dec 31. Then when I flew back to my home in American Samoa, because the dateline splits them now, I left Western Samoa on New Years Day and got back home on New Years Eve...27 minute flight, 24 hours back in time lol

get a tilting rotary table, check the maths for generating spur gears with a slotting saw, engage brain cells to "roll a cone on two axes", and you can cut high precision bevels, relatively quickly... the only other way to make them to the same accuracy is with a very specific and single use "shaping machine", the gleasson bevel gear generator. the only one i know of (GBGG) is a yuppie ornament in a cafe that was once a train workshop because in this country the current practice is to have the train workshops as far away from the rail network as possible, shipping them around by truck instead? oh, how i would love to fire THAT particular lump of iron up during the lunch hour rush! find the RIGHT application for a shaper, and they CAN make you money... and for the hobby shop, theyre just nice to have if you have the space. generally the machine comes free... its the shipping that kills it.
