That is impressive. I’m going to try this method. Mahalo sister. Put some vanilla ice cream down below and top it with some condense milk then you have your local Hawaiian shaved ice.

Those look very good, the shaved ice looks very thin and not chunky. What kind of shaved ice machine do you have? I bought one on Amazon and it just makes crushed ice and too crunch and doesn’t absorb the flavors well it all sinks to the bottom.. 😅

Thank you. I link to the machine I use in the description. It makes wonderful shave ice. Enjoy!

Neat! The sugar water melted down is known better as a 2:1 simple syrup, but Ive never seen it done in an instant pot. You can do this in a normal pot as well, if you don’t have an instant pot. But this definitely works better for making it without having to constantly pay attention to it! And sugar water being hot is an understatement, sugar burns are far worse than even oil burns. Using kool aid packets is absolutely genius for easy flavoring though! I always make it with fresh ingredients, so that’s kinda on me ngl. Lmao, I’ve been doing it the hard way for certain syrups, huh? Especially blue raspberry syrups, I mean truly I am absolutely going to have to try this. I do recommend trying to brown a simple syrup in a pot with sliced lemons though. It’s quite good.

I have so much leftover matzo. Do you think melting coffee ice cream to dip the matzo would be good Because i don't have an express machine to make strong coffee.... It looks wonderful!

That would be fine. Grape juice or any other liquid would also work. Enjoy and let me know how it goes.

We just made this recipe for our seder this year. it was AMAZING!!!! Star of the meal and everybody raved. We have young kids who don't like coffee so we subbed in Yohoo chocolate drink and it was delicious. Made a quick chocolate ganache to top it off. Thank you so much for this great idea and recipe! Will become a must have at our passover seders for years to come!

If you keep syrup in fridge, it will reduce ice melting when you apply it.

Hi Jill... I enjoy your tutorials very much so thank you and Ed for doing them. the recipe indicates 3 minutes High and 10 minutes NR time however, the video states 4 minutes on high with a full NR. As fish can be overdone so easily, which are the correct instructions to use, please?

What was in the "pump sprayer" you used just before closing airfryer and then used again half way through? Was that just more coconut oil to spray???????

I am getting ready to create a couple videos for my channel with a counter top ice maker, and the second video about a ice shaver. Going to be testing these for use to take camping for ice and a quick treat. In the video about the ice shaver, I would like to implement this syrup making technique in that video, but was wondering if a person decided to make a double or triple batch of the syrup... Would the time (1 minute) in the pressure cooker be the same if it were 2 cups of sugar/1 cup water and also if you wanted to use 6 cups suger/3 cups water, or would I have to double or triple the time in the pressure cooker based on how much syrup I wanted to make?. Thanks for the help, - and by the way - you two look like you have a great life together and that is truly refreshing for sure. -- Subscribed because you two are great together ;).

@Outside-In.
@Outside-In. Жыл бұрын
@@ThisOldGal That would be fine, and I could do that also, but I guess I will just have to experiment to see if I need to add extra time to the pressure cooking if I double or triple the recipe. Does your original differ from this one?, and does it also show if I would need to add extra time for doubling or tripling the recipe?... And if this is not the original that you mention, could you add a link here for me to see that? I would also be happy to mention your channel and place a link for people to see how you do it as well.
@Outside-In.
@Outside-In. Жыл бұрын
@@ThisOldGal Interesting... I just did some more research and found that every recipe I found for snow cone syrup is 1 to 1 - 1 cup sugar 1 cup water or 2 cups sugar 2 cups water, and pressure cook for 1 minute on high, let stand for 10 minutes (as you suggest) and release pressure. And it is always 1 minute no matter how much sugar and water used. I was wondering if I could do this with much less sugar, and found that the recipe's I found state less sugar, but I will try it both ways and see which would work best. Still though I will mention your channel as my inspiration and direct viewers to see your recipe as well, but I do thank you for your thoughts.

Wow I just saw this. I'm in central Florida. I remember Rocking Horse Ranch I had horses near there in late 80 and early 90s at a ranch called Windy Acres next to Horsemans park. Unfortunately that ranch is gone (stupid city made them sell it for interstate that never went threw) the bike trail they now have out there was trails me and my friends made through there. Ty for peanut recipe.
