Thanks for the recipe. I'm a husband whose wife does all the cooking, but today I'm home and will surprise my family with this nice looking stew for dinner when they get home.

Looks so delicious. Did you use the pressure cook setting or the meat/stew setting?

Do you do a quick release or a natural release? Most instant pot beef stews call for it to cook like 30-40 min??
@ThisOldGal3 жыл бұрын
Natural release. Enjoy.

Hello to both of you! My oh my that stew looks totally awesome!!! I have never heard of putting the apple in or using the potato starch, but I am going to do it. The color is right on also. Makes me hungry. Thanks for another great video recipe. Stay healthy and safe. God Bless. Claudia

Thanks, it is super good with the apple. I started doing it so many years ago and it adds so much flavor.

When you quick release the pressure, do you get some of the soup that spatters out of the valve vent?
@ThisOldGal4 жыл бұрын
Yes and why I never do that.

Your written recipe says 3/4 cup of beef broth but your utube video says 4 cups of beef broth ( I am thinking we need 4 cups )

Why the apple ?

No need to hold on to a HOT pot while stirring. I use a large metal clip or a clothespin to hold the pot...!!!
