Was sitting in the parking lot of Bay Side Ice Area in Saginaw/Bay City listening to UFer's call as I was late for a hockey game that we were playing that day. Coach was really mad at me.

I was at that game. Heading up the stairs to leave while watching the last play that was opposite the student section. Ended up running on the field. What a great feeling.

When we left the stadium that day after the game, someone was playing Ufer's broadcast outside the stadium many minutes later and Bob was still coming apart at the seams. The stadium erupted into a roar that I had never experienced before. AC was the man, but that team at that moment was the absolute best. What a day!

My husband and I used to listen to all the Michigan games called by him. Every Saturday. He called Bo "General Patton" because of Schembechlers love of the ground game. Him and his cotton picking horn. Harbaugh was waiting in the wings as he was there 82-83 as Quarterback. Win, lose or draw Ufer was every man, woman and child that even THOUGHT about M8chigan as the team to watch.

Seeing all the comments are turned off, I will comment here, Someone should have beat Woody Hayes ass! What a sore loser to punch a player in the face from opposing team!

No wonder Lee Corso is so biased against Michigan. He's still mad about AC fumbling that ball out of bounds accidentally-on-purpose. God I wish Bob Ufer was still here.

AC caught the pass, L.P. Lawrence Reid the rb/fb lateraled the ball to a less than jubilant corso!!!

My favorite Meeeeechigan football play and win of all time! John Wangler threw a really nice pass to AC and he did the rest. What speed and balance Carter had!!! Mr. Ufer could call a game like no one else could! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍👍

What Michigan fans don't want to remember is Carter's intentional "fumble " out of bounds to stop the clock. Illegal and a penalty.

Marlon, that was ufer’s “bo general george patton schembechler victory horn” allegedly the horn from patton’s jeep during wwII! he would squeeze the horn after big td’s!!! also ufer was a record setting sprinter for Michigan and there’s a documentary about him that’s supposed to be great that i haven’t seen his son tom used to work at my neighborhood store & i used to play softball against him
@tomdickandharry7024 Жыл бұрын
forgot to add the mid initial S in patton’s name and the fact that calling bo “bo general george s patton schembechler” was one of ufer’s regular things!

I'm Illinos trublue but this to me,is the greatest most passionate, call of all time any sport! RedKerrs joy & Harry Caray' s pain both displayed a similar obvious love at times..but this1 is king.lol Those strange lightsaber sounding grunts of joy probably should have been studied by some paranormal group later..lol.. but that's my fav!😂!

0:36 What a heads-up play to lateral the ball out of bounds to stop the clock (technically a fumble, I suppose?) Too bad this play was apparently banned.

This play indirectly lead to Corso showing up on your TV every Saturday wearing some dumb ass mascot head. When Ufer went into the 3rd person you knew something big was happening. Ufer, Bo and Yost are sitting around Valhalla watching it now and grinning ear to ear.
