Just genius! Felicidades! I've looking for a way to be able to bring my students out but just a scavenger hunt seemed too boring! This is amazing! Gracias. Is obvious you worked with vocabulary before going out and the real life experience makes this a huge opportunity for them to acquire the language putting it into action! Way to go! Me encanto!

Sarah, I'm a native Spanish speaker who came to the US as an adult. I will never get rid of my Spanish accent when I speak English. I think your Spanish is EXCELENTE.

Is it just me or as wonderful as these activities are, how does one create a dynamic class with small classes where half have behavioural issues and half of the other half have learning disabilities?

Jajaja😂 me encanta!

My Spanish teacher in High School was a German native born in Canada to parents from Germany. So German and English are native to her more than Spanish. I recently got back into learning languages especially Spanish. I'm also studying to be an Education Assistant at the moment. I studied Spanish on and off since 2014 but stopped in 2019 and took a 4 year hiatus and decided to bring it back in May 2023. There are things non native teachers can teach that the natives cant teach or see. By the time I get my education assistant certificate I hope I can contribute in High School Spanish classes and gain insight.

LOVE this! You mentioned "it depends if they come prepared or not"...do you have any resources or anything you can share that you give students to help prepare? I have the SOMOS special person interview questions. Do you just provide them a list of potential questions? Also, do you have a list of your fun "talents"???

Really nice process, but you really, really need to improve your Spanish accent to be a Spanish teacher...at least make the effort if you want your students to make the effort. 🙏 An accent is a huge part of a language. You can know all the vocabulary and grammer you want, but if you can't articulate your words properly, it's incomplete.
@Breckley10 ай бұрын
Incorrect. Accents are beautiful, most can’t get rid of their accents, it’s unclear who’s ‘native’ accent is ‘right’, and as long as they don’t impede communication, appreciate them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqCyfXWfbb1_bas
Bienvenida a Oregon! 🎉

I'm an English teacher in Korea getting ready to go back to the US to teach Spanish and I often tell my students "let me look that up!" Initially they were shocked but now they're so used to it, they're just thankful I take the time to help them and also show them that even native speakers don't know it all! I hope my Spanish students will feel the same way and that the Spanish-speaking students correct me or help me when I make mistakes!
