Sorry to hear about the breakup. Hopefully, it's what is best for you in the long run. All four of the goals you mentioned are worthy reasons to borrow money. While it might seem like "money is money," each one of those goals could be best accomplished with different kinds of loans. You might consider tackling each one separately to find the ideal lending product for each one. For instance, a debt consolidation loan would be great to pay off your debts, but it could be more expensive than you could get from an auto loan. Shop around and make steady progress! Good luck!

I haven't done a deep dive on the Aven card, but it seems like it could be a good option for you. Just make sure that you are able to handle your payments and you have a clear plan to pay the balance off early.

How much Loan do you need

In your circumstance, the most important thing you can do is to shop around to make sure you are getting the best deal you can get. It is really impossible for us to tell you which company would approve you because it will depend on both your specific credit history details and the companies policies. And the company does not publish their lending policies. That's why shopping around is so crucial.

It is true that these companies use banks to do the lending. Of course, they *could* do lending without being a bank, but it would require them to apply for licenses in every state in which they want to lend. The banks that they use are federally chartered and so are regulated by the FDIC. This simplifies the regulatory oversight. Fortunately, every one of these companies clearly disclose which banks that they use, so you can research complaints against them or see if there are any regulatory actions against them. It's great that you are aware of this. Sounds like you are a very savvy consumer.

Personal loans for people with bad credit have high interest rates. It would be nice if that weren't the case, but it just is.

We stand by the fact that using an independent insurance agent (especially if they have access to more than just a handful of carriers) is the best way to get the cheapest insurance.

Unfortunately, they don't publish their approval algorithm. However, I suspect that they primarily look at debt-to-income ratio, income-to-expense ratio, and recent payment history. You can improve your chances of being approved by making sure you have no late payments reported to the credit bureaus in a 6 month period and you can show you can afford the bi-monthly payments. That being said, they other thing about lenders like NetCredit is that their approval can depend heavily on macroeconomic trends. If they are nervous about the economy, they often tighten up their lending criteria to be on the safe side. So, sometimes there is just nothing you can do. We do hope you can get the money you need!

There's no question that all big business tries to manage their reputation online. I suppose the key is to do what you can to see through it at what might really be going on.

Sometimes it can feel like a company's approval criteria doesn't make a lot of sense. Sorry you couldn't get the money you were looking for. That can be frustrating.

Navy Federal is a great lender. When you are consolidating debt, make sure the new loan has an APR that is at least 2-3 percentage points lower than the debt it will be replacing. If you can't get that, you would probably be better off just paying the debt in place. Your credit score is still high enough to find a good debt consolidation loan. The only thing that might limit you is insufficient income or a high debt-to-income ratio. Whatever you do, shop around! Make sure you're getting the best deal that you can. @ okay & thanks for the response I searched today for a good loan lender I found a credit union (Texas bay credit union) that specializes personal loans with low apr & flexible terms! im going to check them out today once off work. my balance ($10k) 😵‍💫 im going to see if im eligible for atleast 7k that'll put me back on track at 30% usage. im moving to a new apt soon and i didnt want to apply for any cards or loans at all until i actually moved cause i was afraid of my score dropping even more but I really need the extra cash too

There is no question that insurance companies (like any other) try to maximize their profits. But, we also don't want to overstate their ability to price the way the want. Home insurance rates often heavily regulated. In some states, a regulator may force a carrier to refund money if they found that the insurance carrier's price is too high. Of course, each state is different, but in general, insurance carriers can't always price the way they want to...that's why some carriers simply stop serving states altogether.

Usually, you will. If you are approved for a certain amount, they will often give you the difference.

That's so frustrating! They might have wanted you to secure your loan with the title to your motor vehicle. If you were unwilling to do that, it's possible that they would deny you.

More and more lenders are asking for banking credentials as part of the application process. They see banking data as much more recent and granular than credit bureau data. It is not unusual that they would ask for it. I'm old school, so it still makes me squeamish, but it is an established practice right now. One thing you can do is to grant the access and then change your password right after you get the loan.
