They just look sognificantly underexposed, so your recommendation to overexpose with respect to the box value makes sense. It's rated at ISO 200, right? Can you exclude the possibility of a malfunction in your camera? If so, ISO 50 sounds like a good starting point.

@@mmfrru it can be because you bought an SD card that’s too large for it. Most of these digicams don’t produce high res images and only require 16gb or 32gb. You can maybe get away with using 48gb but I think anything over that will be too much for an old school digicam

Hello, I would like to add that the electro series can work without a battery but only at 1/500 speed since it’s electronically controlled. You can buy an adapter very easy for a 4LR44 battery but you generally want to choose a film speed setting that’s At least a point lower than the actual one since it’s not the same voltage of the original battery. For example: you’re using 200 iso film so you set it at 160.

m grabbing one for about $60(the m version), but since its my first time shooting film, do you have any tips to not mess up in my first roll? and what film are the most suitable for newbies?
@MKRShoots
@MKRShoots 7 ай бұрын
That’s awesome! My first tip is to make sure the film is loaded correctly. Nothing worst than taking photos and finding out there’s nothing in your film. You should use any 400 ISO film, since it’s the most versatile, like Ilford hp5 400 for BW or Kodak Ultramax 400 or Portra 400 for color. Lastly, make sure you set your camera to match the ISO of your chosen film.

@MKRShoots
@MKRShoots 7 ай бұрын
@@hongnhung4563 The camera you’re buying is fully automatic so if you set the ISO in your camera to match the ISO in the film, you should be good. The viewfinder is good on mine but you should check the lens for any dust and haziness. As long as your lens is clear, your photos should be good.

In my experience, an old-fashioned notebook and pen is a useful accessory for photographers to help with the whole process. The act of writing notes stimulates the brain along other pathways that lead to new ideas. The old digital camera suggestion is excellent. I have one (2007 vintage 6.1 Mp) that was given to me because it was "useless now that I have a mobile phone", according to the original owner. How many times have we heard that? 🙂 For fine examples of creative film photography projects, see Azriel Knight's channel "Days of Knight" series. His patience and perseverance is incredible, and the results show it. As you say in another video, these are essential attributes for film photographers.

I have a PC35 AF-M, which was free, dumped in a builder's skip full of rubbish and scrap by the roadside, in pristine condition, working, with case and film included. Sometimes you just get lucky. The +1.5 button is for taking scenes where there is strong light from behind the subject. You can also reduce the ASA setting for the same effect. For a brightly lit subject, say in a spotlight on a stage, increase the ASA to prevent overexposure.

In real terms, adjusted for inflation, film is as cheap as it has ever been. Also, you can buy a lot of film and processing for the difference in price between a vintage camera and a new digital camera. This counts as recycling, as well, especially when you consider the huge amount of energy and resources needed to make the electronic components in a digital camera. So, you can put your heart back in your body if you are worried about financial or environmental costs!

I think once again, These are some of your best work. It is properly lit. Did you open your f stop up or use the light meter I saw your homeboy using?. Your female models was very interesting and unique looking. I like the avant artsly photos with the gloves. My favorite film is Kodak Ektar. I do my Schewting outdoors so I use it even for people. Now Fuji is actually Kodak gold. If it says on the Box . Made in the USA. It is Kodak Gold rebadged. I was always a Fuji person. Even their run of the mill film was very saturated like Ektar. So I liked that about it.. I use all types of film and not necessarily for what it says on the box to use it for.Break the rules always when it comes to art. Check out B&H and Adorama for 3 packs of Kodak gold.
