sweet product , any hardness testing done on the brass before and after ? That way it’s known to work , not just color changing ..thanks if you can make a video n the results..👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Watching the rotation the case is barely getting a full rotation before leaving flame. I'm curious if they are uniform in treatment. It appears the turn table not the indexer is either too slow or the index table holes are too large and allowing cases to lose rotation as it travels around large dia. Might consider making bushings to fit calibers more closely. There is another annealer very similar at less than 1/2 the cost that has them.

Hi Jory, The rotation is driven by the drive motor rotation, it makes a 360 degree rotation for each case loading onto the annealing station, however, the case is on station for a slightly reduced slice of that rotation. We recommend using two torches during the annealing process to ensure total heating coverage. We do offer different size carousels with smaller holes or thinner profile etc. to accommodate different calibers when needed, all while still maintaining auto feeding capability using industry standard case feeders. Thanks for your feed back!

I have recently seen a system that appears to do it completely electrically without any kind of flame in about 2 to 4 seconds ?

This is a great setup. I like it and it's on my list. I'm looking around right now. I want to try salt bath first and I ordered parts already. If that doesn't work out, I'll be back. Thanks!

I was also going to try salt bath, but the current literature online states pretty convincingly that salt baths don’t fully anneal case necks and shoulders. This unit certainly has potential though.

@@jimboisvert5781- I think that is someone's opinion. In order to subscribe to that theory you will also need to subscribe to the belief that the source of "temperature of the heat" from flame, or that the source of "temperature of the heat" from induction is somehow different than the source of "temperature from salt bath". The physics of annealing is a simple process, it's not complicated. The metal is heated to a temperature that causes the molecules to realign. The problem is not heating it enough or heating it too much. A problem is not the source of the heat.

since the brass case is being rotated, I don't see the need for 2 torches.

not as much gap in between the wall of the feeder and the shell plate. I thinned the tubing out a bit with a box cutter, and it seems to be helping quite a bit. Going to add some plastic to the exterior mouth opening on the right side to help close the window the cases can fall out of. I use to do that with cardboard, but am going to do a permanent fix this go around. It's worth $20 to support the inventor.

Mine doesn't have these problems. Mine doesn't have that big gap between the plate & hopper wall so apparently there was a production change or something.

A while back, when doing due diligence prior to my purchasing a Hornady Case Feeder, I came across the above video. I had seen a few other items similar - but a picture (video) is worth a thousand words - I bought the "Traffic Cop" right then and there, prior to buying the actual Hornady Case Feeder. A couple of days after my Traffic cop arrived, my new Hornady Case Feeder arrived. I installed it meticulously and did some test runs. The case feeder linked up well and as advertised - a fine Rube Goldberg machine! However, I got 3 jams within 5 minutes. I then installed the Traffic Cop and have not gotten one jam since - period. If you made a $300 plus investment - why wouldn't you invest few dollars more for a major improvement?!?!?!?

This thing works like a charm! No more brass getting stuck between the shell plate and the feeder which also prevents the brass shower. I have only used it with 9mm but after 1000 rounds or so, it made the reloading session much more pleasant. Hornady should include this with all of their case feeders.

Just want to tell you how much I love your case feed traffic cop and case cage. I was so frustrated at one point because the brass repeatedly got stuck between the plate and the wall of the container that I almost sold this case feeder on Ebay. I just happened to stumble across your video here on KZbin and was sold, Got it in 3 days and had it up and running the same day. very easy installation, At one time I used a cut off 12 ga. shotgun shell for the case cage but I must say your clear plastic solution is so much more elegant I have not had one case feeding problem ever since installing the feed traffic cop. Well worth the $14.95 Thanks again

Have spoken to Randy many times very nice guy to talk to with a great knowledge of Hornady LNL problems. This system he devised is the fix all for every Hornady reloader. He is just a average guy like me looking to always improve on something that causes us problems. Very quick to return your phone call. Thanks Randy
