Just a suggestion to clean your razor. You might want to try an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to get it cleaned. I use a replaceable cartridge razor with the multiple blades. My blades last about 6 months because I make sure to never shave unless the whiskers are stubble. It looks like your whiskers have already started to curl around, that jams the razor and dulls the blades. If I go through a lazy streak and my whiskers aren't stubble I use a beard trimmer before shaving. I also shave in the shower and I can have a spray of water directly on the razor to help keep it clean and it also gives a close shave.

Considering this razor or the SE. I have to shave everyday but I really just want a clean shaven look. I use the Harry's 5-blade razor currently and the shave is just not good enough, and I still cut myself almost everyday (though I do go fast). Tried a double edge safety razor and it irritates my skin a lot more and its just difficult for me to use around my neck and chin.
@FashionableFather28 күн бұрын
There’s a learning curve simple as that. If you’re ready to take on a new experience and want to save the money and believe as I do that it’s better on your skin, either razor will work. You may get some nicks but those will heal.
@Carl_Frank28 күн бұрын
I haven't tried this, but have been thinking about it. When I heard about the design, where the flat surface is angled so that when you put it on the skin it supposedly positions the blade at the actual optimal angle, I thought that sounded great. That's how I thought safety razors were all supposed to be, before I'd ever used one. But with ordinary ones you have to try to maintain that angle yourself, with no help from the design of the razor. Why were they not always like this? Plus, the way the blade is held bent under tension to keep it from flexing as you shave... It just seems sensible. I think I'll have to get one.
Where did you get the pant?.... some one please....

Ive been coming back to your channel for recs every few months. I did end up with the Supply SE 2 years ago! I still get nicks occasionally and my shave with it is pretty “close”. (I’ve been trying to learn and trying other methods but 60% of the time, there will be small nicks lol) But I don’t know… I duo it with the Gillette Skinguard, where it reaches around my chin area, weird angles and cleans me up. It’s very counter intuitive imo, so maybe I will finally switch it up soon to the Leaf or Henson as I am shaving daily now and it’s really unsustainable using both razors lol.

In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in . PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. It saves me time and Money. Happy New Year. Your Mileage may vary? Wheelchair Larry

Just a further comment if I may. You talk, quite rightly, about looking after yourself and, in that, discuss going to the gym. I am sure that this is very apt advice for most of your viewers. As I am not in that group, I offer this comment. I cannot go to the gym and cannot truly exercise. My health is not good to the extent that I’ve had the heart attack, several operations and take about 25 tablets per day. To add insult to that injury, my spine is not good such that I can walk maybe 50 yards and that’s it. So, when we go out, I’m the one in the wheelchair. All this lack of exercise means that my necessary calorie intake is low. Very low. To balance intake and output, I would have to eat celery all day, every day. I could do that and be thinner. Thinner and unhappy. So, I decided that I would have to achieve balance. I want to eat whatever foods I like. So, it’s moderation; it’s 3 or 4 French fries; it’s sweeteners instead of sugar; it’s smaller portions all around. Even then, I cannot equalise that intake and output and so I am overweight; but I am living the best life I can controlling that balance. My 34”, 36” and 38” waist trousers are mere museum pieces. I now count the number of X’s before the L. So perhaps some could reflect that not all people less lithe than themselves are able to do much about it.

Going back to Medieval times, being a gentleman was a definition of a class. It was below aristocracy but above a working man. Thankfully, those days are gone and anyone can be a gentleman and anyone can not be a gentleman. Being a gentleman isn’t money-dependant. It’s not about the quality of clothes you wear but , rather, the way in which you conduct yourself. I will see men of old age (I’m 70) who are clearly financially- constrained but still look neat and tidy and conduct themselves in every way as a gentleman. It is about being polite, being considerate, being respectful. At home, for me, it is about making my wife a cup of tea for her in bed, doing as much housework as my body allows, anticipating what she might need, being loving and thoughtful. Be a better person to yourself and others.

From England. I can’t say that I know Scott Fraser and so will offer no comment. For my MTM wear, I use a tailor local to me (Justin Block Tailoring) who is Savile Row trained, and he will produce any gar,ent in whatever fabric and style I require. I think he charges around £850 for a 2 piece suit. So, perhaps $400 for a pair of trousers is not exorbitant for MTM. Of course, Justin will supply trousers completely finished and, literally, wearable when opening. I can say that there are quite a few companies (Chester Barrie is one) who offer ready to wear new clothes of the same era and cuts. There is also an increasing number of sellers of true vintage clothing where, according to the age of the garments, you will be able to select style etc. Certainly, for those who would like to dress….with some thought and consideration (no, that’s unfair but I can’t help but think so many dress because others dress that way) it is now much easier to find ways to do so. I would say that I am not personally a fan of linen shirts for any kind of semi formal wear. Cary Grant would never wear because, I am sure, he preferred shirts that look like that have had a relationship with an iron…..
