I don't remember ever seeing a top team go for soft tyres for the first stint and then hards for a long second stint in a one-stop strategy. Genuinely feels like the most desperately stupid strategy ever.

Leaving Red Bull post-2018 was an atrocious decision. Ricciardo sacked his agent for the terrible advice. He might've won 2021 with the shenanigans between Max and Lewis (Baku, Silverstone, Hungary, Monza, Turkey, Brazil, Saudi being races of contention). Getting smashed by Norris and Yuki murdered his psyche

Got to give Max credit for closing off the fastest lap pit window for Norris in the last 12 laps.

Very vocal about the strategy Mercedes gave Hamilton and not for the first time this season having seen other major fuck ups by them as well Do you think there’s any truth to the Hamilton being sabotaged rumours or is it just plain Mercedes incompetence?

Just want to say that when I talked about Ricciardo between 2014-2020 and the drivers who were better than him during that era and drivers you could argue were better in that era, I forgot to mention Nico Rosberg so sorry about that. It's this dynamic pricing that made me stop going to races. F em. And you shouldn't play along either. Don't give money to the greedy. Don't let them win. One race with half full stands and they will turn around on the spot. Use your consumer power. You can manage without a race one year. The best coverage is on TV anyway.

I liked this race , Colapinto/Bearman where outstanding… Williams got both drivers in top 10… and Piastri finally earned a win… Perez/Sianz crash added to the excitement…and Russell p3….

Russell is not an incredible driver. He's had 2 good seasons and that's it.

Russell needs to step up in 2025. If he bottles I expect Mercedes will sack him.

Zhou wins FDZ (Fraud Detection Zone) award of the day. Far too slow and subdued.

Leclerc, Gasly and Hulk had a better race than Norris. As for Zandvoort, along with Monaco, it's one of the worst classic tracks. Let’s face it, the sheer pace McLaren has won Norris the race. As for Piastri he has to be frustrated.

Point of the weekend came from Mr. Nick Surface. No one in Formula 1 is shit, not even Logan Sargeant.

Yes McLaren have improved, but, the 20second deficit is because RB have had their wings clipped because I believe they were caught cheating. It’s not difficult to see the car is not handling the way it was at season beginning. (Rear brake differential?) There are huge inconsistencies in rule infringements. Russel 1.5Kgs Max, half a minute at least per race! I think Zandvoort shines a light on all this. Brundle’s embarrassing attempt to explain what’s happening during the post race interview is farcical. I’m done.

Norris drove well but I personally can't give him DOTD because of the poor start and the fact it took him so many laps to get the lead back.

McLaren looks like the dominant car now. They've had the fastest car for months but never been as far ahead as this.

I don't think the RB car has dropped in performance as much as people are making out to be, there're just not miles ahead of everybody else like they have been in the past few years and the first half of this season. Max imo is really feeling the pressure now that he has to actually compete with others for a win

In my opinion, the order so far overall is: Verstappen Russell Norris Sainz Piastri Hamilton Leclerc Hulkenberg Tsunoda Alonso Albon Ricciardo Stroll Ocon Gasly Magnussen Bottas Perez Bearman Zhou Sargeant

This is what I think: 1st Verstappen - His consistency hasn’t been matched by anyone else 2nd Norris - Despite errors, still solid drives, particularly in the first half of the season. 3rd Leclerc - From China onwards very strong other than Austria 4th Sainz - Consistently solid, 2nd to Leclerc recently though, but still very good season 5th Piastri - A few iffy races to start the year, but has scored more points than Lando recently. 6th Russell - Solid season. Nothing better, nothing worse 7th Alonso - First few races were fantastic, recently not so much. 8th Hamilton - Mediocre first 3rd of the season. Has been fantastic recently, which has just secured him 8th in this list. 9th Hulkenberg - If he was thrashing a better teammate, he would be higher up on this list. His performances have been solid though. 10th Tsunoda - Same as Hulkenberg, but Tsunoda has been less consistent for me. 11th Gasly - Recently has been better than Ocon. 12th Ocon - Worse than Gasly recently. 13th Albon - A few good races, namely Imola, Canada and Monaco. 14th Bottas - He was robbed of a chance of points at China and Japan. Hampered by strategy here and there. Still not great, but hasn’t been helped really by the car, nor the team. 15th Ricciardo - A few good performances, but not setting the world alight. First part of the season was very poor. 16th Stroll - Recently has been good. Start of the season has been poor, and when it does wrong for Stroll it goes really wrong, Saudi, China and Monaco he made major errors. 17th Perez - Decent start, but has been rubbish most of the season. 18th Magnussen - Poor errors, poor pace. 19th Zhou - No where near Bottas in terms of pace. 20th Sargeant - No good drives really.

Ocon had a lighter car than Gasly did in all the first 5 races. Since then Gasly has been just about better.

Norris has left 5 wins on the table this season and many other points as well. Russell has been underperforming since Singapore 2022 apart from odd race here and there. Mercedes brought one upgrade and they're winning races. I always said the car was better than what the deivers get out of it.

Racing Bulls are making Ricciardo look better than he actually is. When they equal opportunity Tsunoda beats him 80% of the time if not more. Verstappen, Leclerc and Sainz are the only drivers in the top 4 teams performing properly.
