5 years later and I finally accept and even really love this ending. For those saying it's bad and doesn't make sense, Kirkman gave an amazing excuse to why Rick was killed off. He basically said that Rick survived so many things but then he was so safe that he was able to be killed by the weakest character in the book by getting shot to death which never would have happened out in the normal world

I wonder what happened with Woodbury and its people, Lilly and Bob.

Whats with the ending with Carl getting stabbed and Sophia and Andrea Jr. looking at presumably his grave?

Reading this I really wonder how they can possibly end the tv series in a satisfying way. Carl is long gone. Rick is remembered but not to this extent of hero worship unless he somehow comes back in the final episodes which is doubtful since they're doing a miniseries about him and Michonne and even if he did his killer would have to be somebody else. They basically can't do THIS ending in the alternate reality of the tv series so you have to ask how they're going to end it in a way that's even close to as satisfying.

I can't wait to see Sebastian locked up and never getting out in the show. It'll be so satisfying.

What happened to the whole thing about people turning into walkers even through a natural death? Is that just not a thing in the future? The original ending Kirkman had made more sense imo, but this was also a very good ending for an amazing series.
