I have one of these 25g versions and it’s not performing well. I’ve cleaned the cell but still not working great. Under the service menu the cell polarity is set to -ve and the current never appears to be going above 1 amp. The voltage is 24v. Is this what you’d be expecting? Thanks

Hi Lach808, Thanks for your enquiry. The product page has been updated to include this informaion. insnrgparts.com/products/insnrg-chlorinators-25g-internal-cell-assembly However for your reference, power Supply to cell should be: Amps: 7.0A - 7.5A Volts: 14V - 20V If below 14V then too much salt. If above 20V add more salt. Please check your salt levels as low salt (and high salt) will shorten the life of a chlorinator cell. Once a cell is depleated it will typically also mimic low salt, so check the salt levels in your pool. Regards Ross Insnrg Spare Parts

These things are pigs. They're well known across industry (pool shops, pool sellers/installers/techs and other pool owners) for failing regularly and more often than other comparative brands, especially the cell. Unfortunately, like me you've got one, otherwise I'd be say stay well clear if you haven't. Nothing worse than paying above $100k for a pool to have a chlorinator that fails.

Do you need to remove the green plastic cover to clean the cell?

@stevelexus Hi Steve, Thanks for your question. No, but remove probes (carefully) if it has those and keep the 1:10 diluted acid below the top section. Otherwise you risk destroying the oring, wiring, etc.

Thank you. So you need to rely on the acid to dissolve the calcium build up and not gently scrub it away?

If you are going to help the acid with the large chunks, only use soft things and be super careful not to scratch the plates. The more damage the plates receive the shorter their life.
