This particular one is a Dorex FH series. I show the ox right at the start. However, the locking methods are the same with other brands of commercial locks also.

Bummer - I was hoping to see a video where a crane had to lift a garage from the street down the driveway, with a fence on one side, to get to back of the house

Hey, do you have any contact details. I’m looking at possibly turning a 20x20 garage located in a back yard with possibly enough space to get a crane in beside it. Just wondering about costs and any contractors that were used for this.

you just buy the fireproof spray they sell it anywhere from 40$ - 50$ per gallon and spray it on the cardboard 1 gallon does about 50 - 60 square feet.

Nice work! What are the dimensions of this room? I want to do something similar in my pole barn. Current design has the office at 12' deep but the steps will end up being to steep even with a 3' landing at the top. Might need to make it 14' deep.

Excellent video. Helped me know how they can get in. I am in construction, but just bought a home that has all of the penetrations you pointed out. My cats hear sounds in the basement ceiling before I do. We have killed and see no mice, but have tons of chipmunks and squirrels. Even thought we heard a cat meow once. Thank you for this. Very helpful and thorough.

It’s hard to set cardboard on fire, you should try it. And Sheetrock is coated with paper. Just saying.

No information on how they actually got in dude you spent 12 minutes showing what the bones of a house look like. I came to this video because it detailed where and how to identify exclusion work needed to done.

If you are putting in pocket doors. Dont skimp out on the hardware. Get good quality hardware. I recommend Cavity Sliders pocket door hardware. They are smooth as butter and beefy as hell. Dont go cheap, or youll regret it.

Me myself I would have left the upstairs wide open to make like a game room and the downstairs. I would have left open for just all my rollaway tboboxes. That's how I would have done it. Please comment back.

Holes were cut in the roof. 2 each side. Then the chains were passed through and attached to temporary 'lifting beams" that we built into the roof earlier.

Dude's so pissed with pocket doors, he decided to get rid of it once and for all. Pocket doors looks cool and all but it's a PITA to fix. If you have to take trims off or make a hole in wall to fix moving parts of a door, which by the way, will need replacing at some point of time, is not a good design at all.

You can treat cardboard with a boron solution that will make it inflammable. It also stops pests from eating the cardboard.

Not that I know of. Whether using the single lock position or the permanent lock position, locking it is only done with the inside button. Key will only open or unlock, but not lock on its own.

I didn't read any comments so if this is a repeat sorry-... Next time put the cat in the other room bc s/he wants those mice way more than you do! My friends cat kept sashaying around while she was setting traps and as soon as she bent down to put ther trap on the floor the cat bolt right to the trap. Thank God he only got his whiskers stuck in the trap- that could've ended SOOOOO much worse. Also, set the trap as close to where your going to put it. I too get nervous while setting them- so much so I shake. My shaking kept setting them off before I realized setting them close to the spot I want them would work better. Then I would use a pencil to push the bottom edge of the trap further in. Thanks so much for this vid, great tips on how to catch and retrieve the traps that catch the nasty vermin I can hear tap dancing in the ceiling above me!!
