Dorex Commercial Door Lock Operating Instructions

I've seen some people in businesses have the door on the "permanent lock" setting and are never able to understand why they can't unlock it and can only open it with the key. This is the first time I've seen why.

Can you lock the door from the outside with a key? I have one of these and unable to lock the door from the outside

Not that I know of. Whether using the single lock position or the permanent lock position, locking it is only done with the inside button. Key will only open or unlock, but not lock on its own.

lost the key and cant open it from the outside any help here?

All I can think of is leave it unlocked or get in a locksmith to make a new key.

This particular one is a Dorex FH series. I show the ox right at the start. However, the locking methods are the same with other brands of commercial locks also.
