Augusta is horrible. Boring and rundown.

I've been in Augusta, GA for 11 years now. A lot of these jobs will hire you and as you work, they will get rid of you either within a year, or 2. I show up before it's time to work and (1 hour btw) and end of the year hits and I'm let go. No reason why, don't care if you're working to keep your family going... nothing! I worked at club car for a year and the 22nd of December hit and we were told to come up to the white board. We go up there and there was a top hat with torn papers in there. 40 names were picked (mine was number 38 btw) and we were told that we had to leave even though we showed up to work on time, so it doesn't matter how good you are at the job. If they want you gone, you're gone. I was just looking for a job in forklift operating and I was told I had to have 3 months in the last 6 months. I have 14 years of experience in it and now I can't even work with something I have years of experience in. Some of these places want you to have a degree in the job you're applying to. This is just warehousing not rocket science!!!! WTH is going on in this country?!?! There is literally nothing to do here either. What... go to a damn museum?! There use to be so much here, now, it's absolutely nothing. Unless it's being shot up by some dumb thugs who can't talk out their problems of course. And with so much crime going on and less things to do as well, my suggestions to people who moved here is get out now and the ones who want to move here, don't... just don't. Worst thing you can do EVER!!!! It's too hot anyway and the jobs are a bit too hard to find and the thugs hanging around the innocent like some damn roaches don't help none either.

Just now getting to watch this latest video on Sarturday afternoon. I always enjoy your information. My husband & I are close to making a final decision to move to the Augusta area and you have been a very helpful part of that. We are senior Florida natives being driven out by high costs, overcrowding, and habitat destruction. I am coming up next week for a visit to the area. Because we will be renting for the forseeable future, we can't use your services. But, I did want to thank you for your guidance!

Just moved here but in Aiken,SC . So trying to see what’s up with the food in Augusta lol.

Contemplating relocating to Georgia from Florida in the near future. I've narrowed it down to Evans, Grovetown or Holly Springs and Woodstock. Still doing my research. However, I've seen on a couple of videos that Evans Georgia has flying roaches 😮😵‍💫 I didn't know those things Still exist 😟 That very well may be a deal breaker for me 🤦‍♀️

I agree I moved to Evans,GA ( Columbia County) in or around November 2021 I was born and raised in Walterboro,SC ( it’s 72 miles from Savannah,GA and around 46 miles from Charleston,SC) I am a disabled veteran . I am happy There are two Veterans hospitals in Augusta,GA which services my healthcare needs , thankfully, the VA hospitals are a short commute from my neighborhood 😊

Hey I'm from South Jersey and lived there shortly after finding work in Augusta. This was almost 30years ago. I remember a Krispy Kreme donut place lol. Augusta was happening. I finally got an apartment across from the golf course. Wow! It was great. I was a cocktail waitress at a night club called whipping post. GREG ALLMAN came in and jammed with the band. I wound up coming back home and since have visited back a few times. A high school friend is in Aiken so have been back in that area. Savanah is a beautiful place to live aswell!

I used to be a cop in Augusta. I can give you plenty of reasons not to move to Augusta. Sorry and understaffed sheriff’s office, corrupt local politicians, If you’re a small business trying to win contracts you gotta be part of the “clique” in order to stand a chance(gotta know somebody), full of gangs, unruly juveniles running the streets, no comedy club, did I mention there’s always a shooting like the shooting downtown the other day with thousands of people hanging out?, and the terrible roads with all the potholes will tear up your car just to name a few. If you want to move to the augusta area move to COLUMBIA COUNTY! Stay out of RICHMOND COUNTY! Your families lives will be I. Constant danger, and you will have to put your kid in private school to keep them safe and not dumb, because the Richmond county board of education is just as bad as the commissioners. There are plenty of articles online that will show you how corrupt they are.

Grovetown is great community to live in and to raise a family. We love Grovetown! People move to Grovetown (Columbia County) to live in the suburbs and get away from the large cities. Grovetown and Columbia County have the top schools in the state of Georgia and nation. Grovetown does not need any more retail stores or gas stations. Augusta University and Medical College of Georgia are building state of the art hospital in Grovetown! It is better if Grovetown stayed small, quiet, and safe. Evans and Martinez is only 10 mins away and has a lot of shopping and dinning. The Augusta Mall is 10 min drive from Grovetown. Downtown Augusta dining and nightlife is only 30 mins away. Move to Atlanta or any major city, 30 min commute is normal. Once again, Grovetown is a great place to live with great parks, trails, and schools! Yes most people drive 10 min to 30 mins to work in Augusta (Richmond County). But, no one wants to live in Augusta (Richmond County) because of crime and poor housing options.
