My family moved here from Ohio. My wife had just graduated from nursing school and was looking for a good nursing community with nice weather. We found it in Augusta!

Like I said on one the other channels you can be anywhere you want in 2 hours I live in aiken and I’m a city boy so it’s a convenience to be in Atlanta and charlotte in 2 hours or Columbia in 50 mins while Augusta all while just enough to do and still being laid back I like it here

I agree I moved to Evans,GA ( Columbia County) in or around November 2021 I was born and raised in Walterboro,SC ( it’s 72 miles from Savannah,GA and around 46 miles from Charleston,SC) I am a disabled veteran . I am happy There are two Veterans hospitals in Augusta,GA which services my healthcare needs , thankfully, the VA hospitals are a short commute from my neighborhood 😊

Thanks for sharing. I’m actually originally from Georgia, but I’ve been in New York for about 25 years now and New York City is getting out of hand so I’m planning to come back and he just moved to Augusta so I’m thinking that’s where I’m going next.

Augusta definitely pick up the paste of a big city now days augusta still have a little bit of a small town feel but it’s becoming more urban than a small town feel and it’s drawing Allot of crowds around here the infrastructure is changing now really fast Augusta not really considered a slow pace city anymore it’s still a little laid back but me as a young person it seem like people are in a rush to get to places commute times to and from work has picked up allot wrecks everyday on the interstate and now it don’t just halft to be rush hour when it’s really crowded it can happen at any time between 3:00 to 7:00 or 7:30 now but the entertainment is now about to become a major part of the city so it’s allot happening all at one time

I wanted to move to Augusta because of the small town feel I been reading about. But reading your comment about traffick is disheartening 😅😂. Im trying to get away from the traffick. Arizona has gotten really crowded over the last 5 years but i guess this is happening everywhere

Wellstar MCG Health or Piedmont Health, School system , ADP, or local staffing agencies I think would be a good starting point.

How is the public transportation in Augusta ?

We do have a public bus system but it only covers a limited area of Augusta and it does not go to Columbia County. So, I would definitely recommend having a personal vehicle if possible.
