I was on Omeprazole for over 20 years. Not one doctor ever told me that I should be taking magnesium . I started feeling unwell taking Omeprazole so a locum doctor ordered a blood count which showed my kidney function was abnormal. I took myself off of Omeprazole and told my GP I was doing so. She had no clue that PPIs can damage your kidneys, yet I've discovered it's on the NHS (National Health Service) website! Doctors need to educate themselves on side effects of drugs.

Augmentin and Flagyl are brand names. Augmentin is Amoxycillin combined with clavulanic acid. Flagyl is actually Metronidazole and is antiparastic(antiamoebic). It may kill certain bacteria but not basically an antibacterial antibiotic.
