@@Julia_14339 I hope to get back to Celeste soon. The long FWG hours unfortunately caused some hand pain, and I'm still trying to avoid using controller for it to heal up properly.

aa Thank you! And good luck with the A & C sides! I never had the patience to golden the A or B sides, aside from chapters 1 and 2. I just really like Farewell and am more motivated than ever to get this golden. I recently had some good focus sessions where I tied my pb in the video again (curse this feather). @@Julia_14339 I’ve got every A and C side, it’s now just doing the B sides, already did 1B and 2B so plan is 4,3,5,7,6,8. And then farewell after all that haha

LOL I don't know what I was doing there. I just felt like practicing some impromptu jelly climbs and was almost dying in the process. The key skip is definitely a difficult input, but as with everything it gets easier with time. At some point I tried to just do the 5 keys, but I was more prone to silly errors there since it added so much more time. So I figured it was better to just do the one hard input.

:D I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'd say my best advice is to find your own strats. Strat finding is for me one of the most fun parts of practice. Coming up with setups and actions that minimize risk or make things easier just feels amazing. It feels like "beating the map" in another sense. For more general advice, Parrot Dash has a goldens video that has good general tips. I actually don't have widespread golden experience; my only B-side goldens are 1 and 2 as well. I'm just grinding Farewell because I love this chapter so much in particular. So I don't have much advice for grinding goldens one finds unfun. I can tell you all about Farewell golden though ^^

TAS allow the nether portal to spawn a (or 2?) Pigmen each tick (you can manipulate RNG in TAS) so the entity craming limit is exceeded in like 1s

thanks for watching! The pigmen come from a niche mechanic about portals in the overworld. There is a *very* small chance that during each tick, a portal block can spawn a pigman. The chance is about 0.0001% per tick. TASes generally assume the best RNG, so we abuse the heck out of that mechanic to get a ton of piglins in just a few seconds -- Here's a clip of it happening in a real run: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIG4fKqii9yJkLssi=miG5rJC9YBEKdmaa

@@boblennon_topozzz7484 yeah, and it's also theoretically possible for even 3 piglins to generate per tick in the portal across the two portal blocks, because of how random ticks are assigned (this was used in the video)

@@Julia_14339 No mobs can spawn on anything that is not a full block, meaning a simple way to spawnproof your area is to just use not full blocks. Meaning carpets, slabs, stairs, water, buttons, snow layers, etc. can be used to spawn proof since mobs cannot spawn on them because they are not a full block.

they can spawn on non-grass blocks, yep. the one in the video did spawn on an obsidian, and so did the other two spawns I got off camera.

@@verolyn8459 Yeah, wandering trader spawning is interesting lol. Sadly the world I mentioned in this comment a year ago is wiped due to my Microsoft minecraft launcher corrupting, deleting all my world saves. :/
