proof of minimal distance wandering trader spawn and w/ no llamas

**Results**: a wandering trader can spawn close to a player (less than 24 blocks) and without llamas. I had 3 spawns including this one: 2 spawns had no llamas, and 1 had both llamas. For the latter, both llamas spawned 1 block away from the trader (need to verify the video; comment if you actually need this)
**Experiment Conditions and Comments**:
idled on 1000 ticks per second to speed up the process. waited 1500 in-game days. (why the spawns were so much rarer than normal was cuz there were hardly any spawnable spaces, I believe)
the repeating command blocks in the distance were setting any traders/llamas to have PersistenceRequired to 1, in attempt to stop them despawning, but that didn't work. (but they did provide a nice unintentional marker for spawns lol)
For a very slight moment at 0:23, the trader spawns at the upper right corner block. He moved so quickly to me because it was 1000 tps. Image: imgur.com/a/V4...

I'm trying a challenge, where there isn't a grass block. Can wandering traders spawn on blocks, such as wool, bookshelves, obsidian and such? rlly need hlp.

they can spawn on non-grass blocks, yep. the one in the video did spawn on an obsidian, and so did the other two spawns I got off camera.

@@verolyn8459 Yeah, wandering trader spawning is interesting lol. Sadly the world I mentioned in this comment a year ago is wiped due to my Microsoft minecraft launcher corrupting, deleting all my world saves. :/

Can they spawn on top of carpet? I flooded my flat world with water and i dont wanna sit on and do nothing for 3 hours to wait for a wandering trader

My instinct is that they can't spawn on carpet

@@Julia_14339 No mobs can spawn on anything that is not a full block, meaning a simple way to spawnproof your area is to just use not full blocks. Meaning carpets, slabs, stairs, water, buttons, snow layers, etc. can be used to spawn proof since mobs cannot spawn on them because they are not a full block.
