My first car was a 92 Camry in 2001, and as meticulous as my dad was with maintenance when he bought it brand new, it had lots of mechanical issues. My 2006 Subaru Legacy has had standard maintenance and repairs, and I never thought it would still be going so strong at 240k miles. I also have a 2017 Mazda 6, and as smoothly as it handles it's got nothing on my Subaru, and neither did my Camry. I'm surprised to be saying that, especially since I have mechanics in my family that have been preaching Toyota and Honda since as far back as I can remember. They both make great cars, but they're not inherently the absolute best of every year/make/model with routine maintenance and repairs.

Secret since nobody points this out: Nissan/Infiniti created Armada/QX56/QX80 to compete with toyota Sequoia. Nissan/Infiniti then used Armada to compete with the LX. LX is a land cruiser. Sequoia is bigger and made to address full-size SUV for hauling family. LX/landcrusier is always going to feel cramped/smaller because it always is and always was. Land cruiser/LX is smaller and meant for off road. Lexus never had a version of the Sequoia. QX80 will always be the premier choice of those who want a dependable full size SUV to haul their family of 5+ in

For those considering as a used vehicle now that we are in 2025, there are reasons to get one. For one, their competitors when it came out are not reliable and won't really see them on the road anymore. This engine will go to well over 300,000 miles when maintained well and if you can avoid a total loss accident. This f sport upgrades the regular rx from a 6 speed to an 8 speed which became standard on newer body styles. The 8 speed does add the paddle shifters in this f sport as well. It does offer better fuel economy which is also nice. There are cross lateral torsion gas charged stabilizers as well on this f sport which is supposed to allow for sportier handling as well as the mentioned upgraded suspension shocks. The most rare and near impossible to find are the heads up display and Mark Levinson upgraded stereo system. The f sport specific front end looks way better than the non f sport rx. All wheel drive provides for better traction. The f sport factory rims are graphite in color and are more appealing to the eye.

That’s fine. Just at least bring the EV3 to the states. The 9, 6, and 3 basically fill out all the main segment sizes.

The Forester can be had with ventilated seats and they’re not available on the Rogue at any price. Also I think the sunroof in the Forester is better for people that actually open it - the opening is huge and not the tiny opening you get in other pano roofs.

I like the look of 1st gen. Forester much more than the new. And all the tech these days are of no interest to me. I like the cars simpler, as in the past.

I will never understand the hate boner against the rotary knob on Mazda. Luxury cars have them, yet there’s no complaining when BMW uses them. Touch screens are not ideal when driving, and I don’t need a giant tablet distracting me while driving. The infotainment really is not hard to use.

It's a Fiat Toro, really, or a truck very much like it underneath. All it needs for us to accept it is enough power and better-than-average reliability.
