Thank you for making this video! My girlfriend lost feeling in her right foot and has only been able to drive her Honda Civic ever since. I bought this adapter for my 2007 Buick Rainier (which was based on the first generation Colorado platform) and I was hoping to see how people went about dealing with the VERY low pedal pivot as well as the clearance issues with the baseplate. Your solution was the same as mine, thank you for this video! You have given me more confidence in my plan and will have helped me give my girlfriend a little more flexibility in her life. This video of yours was a gift, and I appreciate it as such!

No adhesive, it's bolted down. The black stuff is mastic sealer used to seal the side windows and windshields.

I just bought a popup trailer and am finding that the right side lights don't work. I found that the blue wire from the connector had been cut, underneath the trailer. I can't seem to figure out how to access the back side of the trailer lights to get into the wiring, without removing the whole rear section of the trailer. Is that the only way to re-wire all this or is there a better way? If it helps, I have a 1998 Camplite by Damon. Thanks for any help with this!

Revisiting this. shouldn't the green ground wires be grounded to a ground bar and the grounded to a metal frame on your conversion ?

I have a 6x12 Cargo Camper Trailer. I used to build them at the Cargo Trailer Plants here in Fitzgerald so I got it built like you are suggesting but with insulation in the walls. They didn’t have D.C. Air Conditioning Units 7 years ago so when I head out again later this year I will install a new D.C. Air Conditioner and a Bluetti 300 Solar Generator to power it ( along with a smaller Honda Gas Generator in case it’s cloudy or if I want to charge it faster with the 300 watt solar panel I will have on a roof rack. My Mountain Bike takes up too much space in the back of my truck ( I have a Leer Top on it ) so I will need a Bike Rack on the ramp door. I use 2 small electrical heaters in the winter running on medium with a Mr Buddy heater when it’s freezing to get the temp up and then the heaters keep it warm. I have a Wal Mart frig too. 😊 My bike rack will be mounted to the ramp door because I’m not using the ramp any more. I have hooks for Back Packs on the inside of my ramp door. As you know, in a 6 x 12 you need every inch of space available. I’m selling my house to live in my trailer full time to see the country before I die and it’s too late to do it. ( I’m 65 now ).

Hi Greg. Thanks for this video. I successfully installed a breaker box and two receptacles using your guide. I used 12/3 stranded, 300v wires for both outlets. I have some of this wire leftover and would like to put in another outlet. The length of wire I have left is not long enough. Can I connect it with a 12/3 stranded 600v wire so that it could reach the location where I want to put the new outlet? Would connecting 300v to 600v wires be a problem?

Great information! I'm going to watch your other videos. I am in the process of designing a tiny RV/camping trailer to tow behind my recumbent tricycle. I want shore power for sure. Question: must I have a 30 amp power port? In other words is there a 120 volt (15 amp or 20 amp) power port? If so should I still use a load center with breaker box and breakers? I was hoping to go smaller to save on the weight of a big 20 foot 30 amp cable. Please advise, and thank you for sharing your expertise.

Not everyone has plywood on the walls I have 1/4 shiplap. If I tried what you did I don't think the screwing in would have enough hold to the shiplap walls. Any suggestions how I could accomplish the same in my scenario?

I don't understand why you would need an instructor. If you can use your left foot go to a big parking lot an practice until you get it. Or get hand controls and practice with those. You can do it.
