I would say strategically, the Philippines would be involved and subjected to retaliation. I would hold off on buying that Condo in BGC. Take it or leave it. Hope I'm wrong.

I have a background in SE Asian investment and am fine tuned to military/political/economic events. Are you aware of the high probability a Chinese attack on Taiwan, and the consequences to the Philippines? Do you know American's are establishing bases in the Philippines as we speak, and the laws have been changed subsequent to Duterte? There are bases of missiles being established outside Manila, Clark, Palawan, and others. About nine. Marcos has changed the game. This is not a coincidence. The Americans will require launching pads for their missiles (within range) and eventually airstrips. This is not conspiracy, but fact. The Asian and Soth Pacific countries have woken up too late and Xi may seize the opportunity. As the Philippines is strategically necessary, things could go badly. China may Blitz Taiwa within 48 hours with a massive force, but Taiwan may hold them off until the cavalry arrives (if it does) Don't forget, Taiwan has missiles capable of reaching the 'Three Gorges Dam. That would wipe out 2/3 rf of the rice supply. Perhaps dead bodies would trigger a nuclear response on Taiwan. You may think I am an alarmist. Sorry about my meanderings... Perhaps you are more informed than me.

I don’t plan on staying there full time. I’m in my mid 50s now I feel it’s too late to settle down over there. I’ll stay a couple weeks at a time and see how it goes.

I have no idea why a black man would choose the Philippines for a woman when 90 percent of them either want a korean, chinese or caucasian. Blacks and indians are avoided by MOST women. Rarely have i seen an attractive filipina with a black guy. Usually they're single moms all 30+ and not petite.

It could be due to a variety of different issues to be single, but I think it ultimately comes down to money and free time to be in a relationship.
