Awesome video and really helpful for planning a prayer kneeler I'm going to build. The Tusk Tenon joint is my favourite and I'm keen to incorporate it on my design, but I'm curious about how you've incorporated it here? Would you say that since the other joints are glued, that it becomes more decorative than functional? Meaning, you wouldn't be able to dis-assemble it, correct?

Best video so far I’m doing a small project that involves dove tail drawer boxes and I was getting a little overwhelmed at my old shop we used the porter cable jig but it’s 250 the harbor freight is about 39.99 hopefully I can get a little better 💪🏼

Anyone have any suggestions? I would like to have some way that I could keep a prayer bench in my living room but have it be hidden so people who come in my apartment don't think I am intentionally "showing off" that I pray and actually have a prayer bench.

I just got the equivalent Shop Fox (model W-1888). I don't know why in the world they make a saw where you can't easily fabricate a zero clearance throat plate out of 1/2" material. The pad that the throat plate rests on are only 3/16" of an inch below the table top! So making a zero clearance throat plate is going to be quite a challenge. This thin throat plate thing seems to be a trend with a lot of new saws. Manufacturers - stop doing this! You are supposed to be concerned with safety yet a safer than stock DIY throat plate is going be resting on edges that are only 3/16" thick? Instead of worrying about blade stopping technology, dust collection (also a safety thing in my estimation), why not go back to making saws with a 1/2" thick throat plate? Or, at least provide us with a zero clearance throat plate when we purchase the saw? Another thing I find very odd is the miter gauge. Although heavy and quite nice, it does not have any provision to screw on a piece of wood to extend the face/working length. I personally do not like the magnifier on the indicator for the tape measure. While a good idea in theory it's hard to see the lines. I'm making a pointer which will replace it Other than that, I find this saw to be good. Powerful and smooth with a nice, solid fence.

If you flip that 2x4 center brace upright and put 2 clasps on the sides, you could store the corn bags in the bottom half and clamp them together. Add a carry handle in the center and it would become its own carry case!

If you build a lot of boards, I recommend building a board template with the hole in it already & using a down spiral bit & ride the template's circle. All you need to do is drill a pilot hole close to the edge of the 6" circle to put the bit in and take your time. You will get a pretty nice hole and it's repeatable. I build all my frames from solid Poplar instead of 2x4's and add dual middle braces & 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood.

Great idea on using a multi tool on the hinge cuts that follow the grain of the wood I also use it on the cross grain as well so I can just chisel down to the correct angle and the wood pops out. I modify my multi tool blades with 2 slots cut in about a quarter of an inch it gives space for wood to go and helps keep the blade cooler on harder woods. Thanks again and great video.
