How important is the HONDA Trans fluid? Or is the Valvoline / Penzoil / etc fluids for the Trans???

VERY important ... from what I've seen mannnnnny experts say.

This is a nice , descriptive video. I am thinking the solenoids you tested here are FORWARD gears ??? What if your issue is the REVERSE gear? does the overdrive solenoid you pointed to ever give problems ??? Thank you from HOUSTON
@ocavant29 күн бұрын
Most cars at this point need new injectors, so throw a set in while you are in there. Also, you should pre-oil the shafts before you dry start the engine.

WHY does Chrysler say that this "complete assembly" WILL NOT fit a 2008 4.0 v6 ? The "complete assembly" part fits a 2007, and every individual part listed for 2008 ALSO fits the 2007. Strange?!?

By the way, make sure that you torque it to only 23 ft/lbs; if you try 31 ft/lbs it’s gonna strip, (happened to me). So be careful, the guy in the video meant 31 n/m, which converts to 23 ft/lbs. I’m sure it was an honest mistake.

Thank you for this video, it’s well done with all the important information we need. My 2010 300 with 3.5l only has 70,000 miles and inevitably will lead to me having to do the rocker shafts. Super helpful video, thanks again and cheers

3 big things then a lot of little things lol, question, do you have to soak the lifter in oil or do they pump up when running? I’m going to be doing mine soon. I hope it hasn’t messed my cam up. When it gets bad I usually turn it off then start it again and it stops.

You got to make your money, but it's still pathetic and corrupt telling a customer to repair the transmission when they know it's just a shift solenoid. I have no respect for dishonest people.

Would these be the problem as well if it doesn’t want to shift after the car warms up? My 2002 Acura TL will go into all the gears from a cold start. Then once warm, won’t shift into any gear.
@1torqued6point02 жыл бұрын
It could be, the warmer the fluid gets the thinner it is and is harder for solenoids to push it if they're worn out. I would check the fluid and my sure it's good first. Also sometimes when electrical components heat up they will struggle
@schmidt76ful2 жыл бұрын
So that’s first to second gear right
@1torqued6point02 жыл бұрын
The are different solenoid packs so it's going to depend on what your transmission is doing vs. What solenoids to replce.

@1torqued6point03 жыл бұрын
Hey I'm sorry I am just seeing this, yes you can still drive it especially if it is still getting oil. Your problem is probably a slack adjuster. it will not be at optimum, but will be ok to drive until you get a chance to fix it.

I will post a video soon. I made another one but never posted it. I opened a performance shop since this video and drag week got canceled so all my time, money and effort went into the shop. But right now the car is basically stripped, cut in half, and halfway painted. I have a fabricator in my shop and he will be building the turbo headers and stuff so I will try and push out updates soon. I will try and do better about posting videos, we've been pushing out more videos about the shop and my street car foxbody but I will make sure and try and get one of the drag build out.

Looking forward to some videos on this. I've got a big block fox and trying to decide on whether to go turbo or not. Just a factory 460 with a performer intake and some headers. She's a slow girl but man the torque. lol.
@1torqued6point04 жыл бұрын
I failed on responding like I figured I would lol. Even a 460 swapped fox oxy runs good were hoping to make some good power on a "budget" even though we know that doesnt make sense but I guess a budget for what it is. Works slow right now so may take longer than expected but I'll try and post progress videos
