Thank you. What do you do if this happens on an Android phone. (I use one for searching things at home no sim card) I have deleted all apps logged out of internet and rebooted it (twice to be safe)

The ads will not stop long enough for me to SEE what you have told me to do under settings....now what do I do.

If the ads are push notifications, they should only appear in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. So that should not stop you from going into settings? Anyway, I am not a PC expert, but you could look for a video on how to start your PC in SAFE mode, this may stop the pop-ups while you address the problem.

Brilliant video. You fixed that garbage for me! What a hassle those popups are. They take up half your screen, always stay on top, and without your (settings) advice, pop up every three minutes and you can't X out of them. I also found those two as extensions recently added in my chrome browser and permanently blocked them in settings (three dots up right and scroll to bottom). Corporate viruses like that make your windows unusable.

My husband visited NBC News yesterday using chrome, and got bombarded with popups from security companies to buy their product (even though we have some of these already, they are bogus). Doing as you say to do cleared up the problem! You saved us the time and cost of going to a shop to have this fixed.

Great news. Actually some decades ago I went into a shop in New York to ask directions and, to my surprise, the man in the shop gave me a free map. So, finally my debt to NY is paid and we're quits. 👍

I agree that your video was the only one that worked for me. It was all about allowing notifications without knowing I was allowing them. Now I wonder if I do not recognize the name of a website on the cookies section, should I go to it to see if it is something I wanted or clicked on? Thank you so much for making this video

I am pleased that the video helped. Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure what to do about cookies. I recently went to look what cookies were on my computer and there were hundreds, so I gave up looking. Instead, I am now fully converted to the duckduckgo browser, which does not spy on you, and it blocks website trackers and supplies a record of the trackers that it has blocked. Anything that reduces spying by big tech is good in my eyes.
