MLF and Blues Saraceno were IT in those days. No one was as unique as those two were in the 80s-early 90s Shrapnel/Varney era.

King of Clubs, Flying Dog, Alligator Farm, Burning Organ... Paul Gilbert's first 4 albums to me are as powerful and moving as the first 4 The Police albums or the first 4 Van Halen albums... they're that good and authentic 🤘💪🎸🎶

From all the shredders i like this album the most, because it sounds very David Lee Roth solo-ish without sounding like Steve Vai. I love the varying breezy melodies.

I SO wish that Paul still made music like this... I love his melodic pop songwriting and I love his singing voice...even more than his truly remarkable guitar playing. Please make music like this again, Paul...

I hadn’t heard this in years, just as badass as I remember. Not only world class musicians, but the overall songwriting is very strong, tasty hooks with just the right amount of flash.

I think Bruce’s lead fill/ solo’s always were amazing. Just the right amount of delta/ Chicago blues.

I heard Gregg for the first time today. Effing amazing. Greggs playing is so intricate that it flows right past you at times. And OMG ! Playing with the likes of those other two beautiful souls V and D. That was exactly what I needed to save my soul. I couldn't imagine meeting Gregg, like another poster luckily did. He might have just entered into the category of top 5 greatness. In my mind. Where have I been? Ahhhhhhhhh !!
