There are very limited options in SEqld for shore diving… so yes, there are plenty of better dives sites… but there are always better sites out there… just need to make do with what is local, and for a shore dive it’s gets some impressive critters

Went down that night from Wellington😮 and returned. Took a police dive team down next day on “Martini” to stop heavy bunker oil flow from tanks. Oil was coming from tank vent. Had a dive to check the plug had stopped flow then back to WN. No Police launch available as Lady Elizabeth was lost at Wellington Heads that year. Rod Page

Thanks, yeah can be a bit hectic on the inside as well.... second trip there last nov my mate and I pushed a bit further in.... def need to have your wits about you! That video is up too

I have dived and penetrated that wreck twice. Can be very daunting and intimidating for the new diver. Have you got this clip but with original audio instead of the music? I would very much love to watch that version. Would bring me back to the days of when I was able to scuba.

Unfortunately, no, don't have the clip without the audio. I typically strip out all the breathing, etc. Def a great wreck to dive, and definitely requires planning to penetrate it.

She didn't simply hit a shallow reef, she was purposely driven onto that reef by an extremely anti-soviet pilot that was brought on board to SAFELY navigate the ship out of the harbor. He should have gone to prison, but slithered out a porthole in the head and ran away. I'm no fan of soviet russia but what he did was intentionally criminal.

Get that anchor chain off the coral...... long anchor chains destroy what you went to look at.... use floats on the chain or use only a very short chain then line (rope)

Edit - yeah a few sites, but also actually, drifting between sites too. It’s a great drift dive, turtle caves towards the alley
