when I was recruited into the army I scored a 99 on the ASVAB and the recruiter said "you smart guys always get cold feet". then after a bad experience at the processing center I did a couple of weeks of research and decided to drop out of my recruitment. it's pretty easy. I had even sworn in at that point. they do come by your house and try to harass you but you can just not answer the door.
