I think I read Beethoven said this 'wasn't one of his best children' referring to this concerto. Sad because I went and bought the whole score for piano and orchestra....

Her Jeux d’Eau is the best of all- her Gaspard de la Nuit is also through and through the best interpretation, amazing how she still plays it like she always has - better in many ways, she sincerely hasn’t lost an edge- I’d trade a decade of my future to see her play- Ravel especially. My favourite pianist ever alongside Satie, Horowitz, Glinka, and Chopin.

I was there, the best Bartok Piano Concerto ever. She used different approaches from her previous performances but the same aggressive spirit and delicate touch in the second movement as when she was younger. An immortal soul of extraordinary talent, this is what she is.!!!

As a jazz pianist, it makes me very happy to find out that these great wonderful pianists want to play jazz and fell the joy and freedom of improvisation. I, in my turn, wish to play the piano with the mastery Martha has and Nelson had.
