I have a 2022 Skoda Octavia 2.0 diesel manual. It’s been with Skoda awaiting a faulty gearbox differential for 5 months now for a warranty repair. Apparently the part isn’t available and Skoda asked the dealer to strip the gearbox to identify the part! The gearbox is in bits and they’re still waiting for a replacement part. Good news is they’ve had to supply me a courtesy car, so I’m driving around in a 2024 Skoda superb!! What a daft company.

Like your work I started doing an r5 bac touareg engine for two weeks now Rebuild cylinder head with valves and everything, rebuild injectors, new camshaft,new tandem pump from pierburg;i will check the relief valve on the fuel rail. What is the part number of the differential you swapped the bearings on? I have a 2017 alltrack with the same problem and no one rebuilds them.

@@PTPrecisionAutomotive I did i yesterday, as preventive measure before my dpf gets clogged, because it showed on diagnostic, that dpf has 75% ash residue and my car is starting regeneration very often, through the city after every 50km starts regeneration on open road I can reach maximum 220km until next regeneration... I feel a slight difference when driving (a bit faster and stronger response when I hit the gas pedal), but 75% of ash deposits are still there and again after 50km driving regeneration is starting... And all parameters show that everything is good... So... Idk... Maybe there is another issue that is not shown in the diagnostic...

Hi guys, and gals, need some help. got a pt cruser 05, was doing a compression test on it, turned the engine 6 times as recommended, with the gage in the sparkplug hole, but i did 1 at a time. now the car will not turn over, no starter, no clicking noise. Nothing, need some advise. anything will help.....

A Honda K24 engine swap will fix it. Never would have imagined a Mazda being compared to a Captiva for reliability. A petrol CX5, as reliable as the sun rising in the morning. A Diesel CX5, as reliable as a politicians promise. The good news is, if you've got a petrol CX5, and you need some good low milage parts, for example an immaculate bumper bar, or a door, or even un worn interior parts to freshen yours up, there'll be plenty of pristine condition CX5 diesels being wrecked. Maybe an aftermarket money marking venture would be to convert the near worthless used diesels to petrol power?

My timing chain has slipped on my 2010 2.2 transit and i took the head off expecting loads of damage as number 3 cylinder was only 190 lbs pressure. Theres no damage at all and i think the valves just need reseating or the head gasket is fecked . Can't find any information regarding the settings on the timing chain, just how to replace it which is no use to me as mine is all out . Do i have to set no 1 at tdc as there is four turns to get each piston up and it can be locked off at any of these 4 places. I'm not a machanic just someone who is avoiding being with my Mrs 24 hours a day . Anyone?

You can buy just the valve and round cap, but mine wouldn't click into place. I found it's better just to buy the whole vavle cover unit and replace the lot. Easy job, just don't drop the bolts into the engine or you will never see them again. It's like a black hole back there 😂

After using this you really need to pull the lower oil pans and check the oil pump pickup!

My 2014 2.2 injectors came out really easy! Puts me off buying a newer transit custom mainly the wet belt! But glad to see this!

The source of the issues in the the top end.. pull the valve cover off, the injector seal will have failed.. the little copper washer at the tip of the injector.. combustion is going past the injector and exhaust soot is inside the valve cover, pul the injectors and change the seals with the new part SH01-13-H51 x 4 is needed, be sore to lookup how to torque them down properly 2NM than undo by 90 degrees then do the second bolt to 2 NM then turn additional 230 degrees

Great video. I wish I'd have known this was my issue. I bought a valve kit that was just the cap, valve, plastic back and spring. You can just remove the existing cap (you need to break it), change the valve and pop the new cap on. No need to even remove the housing 🤔 Only realised this AFTER I did the job. Went through hell diagnosimg this. I thought I tested for this issue by removing the oil cap but it was still sqeeled. I replaced the serpentine belt, automatic tensioner and even the alternator pulley. Finally I removed the alternator as I was sure that was the issue. It kept squeeling. I then tested the oil cap while it was squeeling again, and sure enough, the squeeling stopped 😅 I changed the pcv valve (it had a split in it) problem solved. I don't regret putting a new serpentine belt, old one was cracked - but removing the alternator was SO painful 😂

Hi PT - engine light was on and the mechanic put a new fuel pump on - picked up my car - light was now off - drove for 40 minutes and light came back on - next day car completely wouldn't start - mechanic thought it was a faulty new fuel pump so he put another one on - same thing happened- light off and back on after 30 minutes of driving. Mechanic ran the diagnostic and its saying its running lean. Can a clogged fuel filter cause this problem with that code?

exact same as mine, took it loads of places who couldn't work its out, ended up going to a tuning place who replaced the started motor and did a full system re-map n that sorted it..... for now

Wat number right angle fuel return adapters have you put in there 01 or 02 or 03 that be helpful. A couple of the adapters in that set seem to fit but don’t seal the diesel

Maybe. You would need to remove the oil then try to start and do a relative compression test at least

@@PTPrecisionAutomotive I drained the oil out then put it in the correct levels but my truck still won’t turn on.. had someone come look at it n he said to me I should get a new engine without even trying anything

I’ve just done my 1KD motor at 150,000km. The difference being it has had a Provent 200 catch can fitted since new. There was soot around the EGR valve but a lot less than in this video, a lot less in the elbow and entrance to the inlet manifold. Low mileage of course, but the main difference is that the soot is dry and very friable and comes off easily, its not oil & soot mixed. Removing the oil vapour from the crankcase vent with the catch can makes a huge difference to the deposits.

Deleting the egr is not as simple as it seems. The egr is only active at part throttle and if you delete or blank it off your fuelling will be incorrect. At full throttle the egr valve is closed meaning that you get no performance gains by deleting it as some believe.​@@tomskimcdouglegaming806
