I bought a new 2023 800 XC February of this year 2024 already has just under 800km on it would have been more but i have a Polaris 500 which i ride too.. The 800 runs like a Cadillac.. only gripe was it was really touchy in low range especially trying to maneuver in tight spaces but bought a primary clutch kit which took care of that.. really happy with the purchase

Tell me something why was mine without the power steering and no winch
@joelholtz
@joelholtz 2 ай бұрын
I know that in my area, machines without power steering were being marketed as the ‘Classic’ model. A riding buddy of mine has an 800 without the power steering. So - perhaps your dealer was doing something similar? Whereabouts are you located? I’m in Ontario, Canada. I’m not sure why there was no winch … again, dealers have the ability to add and take away features. My understanding was that winches were to be included from the factory. Thanks

Hey! Right on. Congrats on getting the go ahead. 👍👍 The 600 and 800 are on completely different frames - but will definitely provide a great riding experience. I’ve not driven the smaller series 2-ups, so I have no user experience that I can share. If possible, see if you can take both for a little rip down the road at R&R’s. That might allow you to feel a little bit of the difference between the two. Go with the one that catches your eye and produces a smile! Let me know what you get! Happy trails 👍

I looked at the 600 it's a beautiful machine but coming from a 500cc machine before wih two persons where we ride on the West side of Canada high elevation, hilly , mountainous and long snow season , we decided on the 800 just more power , more torque especially riding in winter.. if you're on the flats or cruising steady speed the 600 would do, unless you're heavy heavy people then just go with the 800.. I'm just over 6 feet 200lbs and another person 180 to 210 lbs not a problem for the 800

How does the ride compare to Polaris and Canam? Having a hard time deciding what brand to buy! Had Polaris in the past and it rides very smooth
@joelholtz
@joelholtz 3 ай бұрын
Hi Mike I’ve talked little bit about the Polaris before - it’s hard to compare because there is a vast difference in the frame between the two. The 800-1000 Cforce models have a much bigger frame. It is really noticeable when you compare the 800 with the Polaris etc. A better comparison to the Polaris would be the 600 or 500 two-up Cforce models. But I’ve not been on those. We specifically purchased the 800 for the best two-up trail ride experience possible. I have no complaints so far. I’ll be doing a video comparison between a CanAm two up in the near future. Hope this helps. Whatever you choose will be right for you. Happy trails!

Does the 800 XC come with a skid plate or only the 1000? Can’t decide between 800 and 1000, do I really need the extra power. I care most about a plush ride but low end power is fun!

My biggest concern with the CF Moto's is that for their size and horsepower rating, they really seem to lack in their hauling capabilities. Their racks only hold 75 pounds front and 100 pounds rear. I had a 2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 that could carry 88 pounds front and 176 pounds on the rear rack. That being said, yours IS a beautiful machine and I like those rack extensions.
@joelholtz
@joelholtz 10 ай бұрын
Hi @stripedbassnut Thanks for your comments and perspective. I can see why the rating is what it is. Theses plastic 'racks' on ATV's today do not compare to the metal ones of the past. My old 88 yahama 250 had a better rack system than most new machines today. I feel your pain. There is a definite lack of tie down/anchor areas on these plastic racks. That was one of the reason why I bought this front rack. I can at least secure some gear up front. Take care and happy trails.

I just bought a USA (MT) 2023 CFORCE 800XC. It didn't come with turn signals/flasher, park lockout, hitch or mirrors. I have since found out there are EU, CA and USA models of this machine and they do not all come equipped with the same standard options. When researching mine I saw machines that had those features and thought that is what I would get, but when I went to pick mine up out of town it didn't have any of those features. I am new to CFMOTO and ATV"s so it would be nice if people would explain in their video's where they are from or what country the machine is built for. It might save some confusion for new buyers like me if they are not aware of the differences. Thanks for a great video!

Hi @markhoover5915 Sorry for the delayed response. Yes - fair comment ... and I have also discovered that options can vary among dealerships as well. For example, a friend of mine picked up a new 2022 800 XC here in Ontario (Canada) and it came with a Champion winch instead of the CFMOTO house brand. I guess local dealers can customize as they see fit. I will endeavour to explain that my videos are 'Canadian' from here on out. Hope you are enjoying your new ride! At the end of the day! Every CFMOTO buyer is supporting an authoritarian Communist Chinese regime. A country that doesn't appreciate fair trade or worker's rights. IMHO there's inherent value in supporting my fellow American workers, their families and regions within my country. This Chinese brand is making the competition move abroad. If you're cool with that, don't think of yourself as a patriot or allie of the NATO alliance.....

Great review! I was interested in the Suzuki king quad and I just went to my local dealer and test drove a king quad 750 and a CF Moto 800 XC and it even had the same orange as yours! Don’t get me wrong the King Quad is a great machine BUT that CF 800 feels munch more powerful. It snaps right off and goes and feels like butter too! I liked much better. The dealer couldn’t praise them enough and said not only do they rarely need to work on them after selling them but the company covers all kinds of damage even if a customer is at fault for wrecking it. They truly care about their customers it looks like and their parts from Canada and Bosch are high quality. I’d want to upgrade tires and add things to a new king quad, but the CF Moto comes with everything I’d need for less money! Can’t beat that. Only thing. I’d buy extra would be a plow for ten winter and a good cart to haul firewood. I’m sold. When I can afford it the CF Moto 800 will be my choice.

I’ve been impressed with the suspension and handling compared to the 2-up Polaris models. The Polaris does not feel as stable and has more body lean and roll with 2 people compared to the CForce. I’ve not driven a 2-up Can Am. All in all … to me … it’s the best bang for your buck and rides better than the Polaris with 2 people. Happy trails!

Right … yes - the right side definitely heats up - and I did notice that when I first got the bike. You almost think that the plastic is going to melt! Now I’ve never done anything about it, and honestly I don’t really notice it anymore. Maybe it’s because I don’t ride when it’s super hot out.
