Luv AFI always have but Davey seems a little into himself probably just me since I saw him live in OC and he was in such a rush to leave and had no care for any of us in the crowd or tried to hype up.

I was a youth in both 2003 and 2006 and Lord have mercy on my soul AFI changed me as a human. They’re one of my earliest memories of getting that *feeling* while listening to a song/artist where your wires feel reconstructed and heaven just washed over you. Unexplainable really. Phenomenal artistry.

When I heard that album when it came out I was kind of thinking “wtf is this shit” because it’s just different than the rest of their albums, but let’s not pretend like a7x has stayed the same for 20 years and suddenly changed. Every single album sounds different than the last and they keep evolving. I listened to it more and more and now I like half the songs on it, the different genres I don’t really like but I can understand why they want to change things up and make what they want to make. They are extremely talented and in a way it reminds me of the band rush. Rush put out a thousand songs, most of which I’d never listen to and don’t like, but every single song has something to say, very talented group but they made what they wanted to not what people wanted to listen to. As much as I want a7x to make songs closer to their previous albums, they can do whatever they want and I’ll never quit listening to them.

That year where both Eminem and Black Eyed Peas were on the tour was wild. It was '99. San Bernardino had two dates that year, but on the particular date I went to, I remember Eminem quit his set early because of some bad crowd interactions. He was already huge, and obviously talented, but Warped attendees kinda just were not ready for it.
