A Tyson interview was the interview I knew I wanted but didn’t know I’d get ALSO that copy of Burnout 3 on the shelf made my day!

2005....Move Along and Dirty Little Secret were two of the biggest songs on the radio. I was turning 9, and I fell in love with this band. Bought the Move Along CD and later their debut album...with allowance money....probably within a couple months. This band made me want to play music hand down. As the years went on I got into a lot of other bands and styles of music. Metallica, then a lot of popular heavy bands and a ton of metalcore bands, then the melodic death metal bands, then classic rock and metal bands of the 70s-90s....on and on to everything. What is the point of all of this jabber? It's one of the most comforting feelings that this guy, who inspired me when i was literally a child, turns out to be a really great, intelligent, and honest dude. This interview was awesome. Tyson is an underrated legend as is the rest of the band. What a great first band.

This guy is kind of fascinating. Like, outside of the work, he has interesting perspectives. I enjoyed his thoughts. Second interview you have done with someone i didn’t really pay attention to and now I want to dive into their stuff. You really do a great job with these interviews. Seriously, awesome show. I doff my chapeau

He is such a delightful dude. I love Tyson and the all American rejects. I remember buying all their albums when they came out. It’s amazing to see the even more wonderful and charming human being he’s grown into. I really look forward to checking out his newest band

Awesome interview. Always loved and enjoyed his music as a kid, and growing up and seeing him in Preacher and getting into acting was really cool. Now finding this interview, he just seems like a really interesting and well-spoken person. Helpful to hear about his journey and advice about creativity/just growing up, he's a great speaker and seems to be a real one.

Tyson’s such a delight to listen to (both in interviews + musically!) He’s always come across as next-level deadpan, yet humble. Keeps it real, and radiates an eclectic, eloquent, and ever-evolving energy. Got super excited when I saw you uploaded! You’re both gems!

I actually really loved this! Such a random interview for me. I know Tyson from All American Rejects but never was big into the music. Just some catchy tunes I heard/saw around (MTV). But I happened to see the headline about MGK and it intrigued me. Decided to watch the episode to see kinda where Tyson was coming from cause quotes really make it seem different than how he actually told the story. First, I really like Tyson! Wow! I love his style and how comfortable he is in his skin and talking and telling stories. I really thought he was gonna be awkward but he wasn't at all. And super laid back funny! Also, never heard of this podcast but the host Stryker is really sweet and disarming and just like reasonable. Not irritating at all as these podcast hosts can sometimes be. Great interview! And this is the first podcast I've seen that really pushes me to want to start one. Had the idea rattling around but this like sikes me up for it! Great job!

Dude is aging really well. Must be all that water he's drinking 😂. Real talk though rock stars.. usually start looking a bit rough around the edges after all the years this guy has been around so kudos. Looks like he's taking care of himself and I'm glad to see he's doing well. Hip hop, rap, rnb was my genre and still is.. but in the 2000s AAR was my jam.

Let me start by saying that I love Tyson’s voice, songwriting and skills as a frontman but he is not thinking straight in regards to the way he looks at The Rejects and he hasn’t been for years. The Rejects released 4 great albums. They have never released a subpar album. At some point, Tyson just started to believe that he had better things to do and The Rejects were done. Besides that, he talks about these “other bands” on their genre working with outside writers to stay relevant being sad yet the last thing released by the rejects is an EP and single written by Tyson and outside writers. They’re good songs but come on. He’s calling himself out and doesn’t even realize it. He doesn’t think he can get back in a room with Nick and write a great album? Why not? Everything they’ve done thus far has been phenomenal. The Now More Than Ever album is pretty good but it does not hold a Candle(favorite song off that album) to any Rejects material and besides that, it’s not that different genre wise! He could’ve made a better album with a far wider listener base by making a new Rejects album. From what I can tell, the rest of the band would be on board and Tyson kind of has his head up his ass with his “art” when the best art he has created is with AAR.

They had their time in the sun. The mid-2000s were a golden age that will forever have a place in our hearts. But they're over. That genre is dead and isn't coming back. You're letting nostalgia cloud your judgement. Hats off to Ty for not milking a dead cow. People still buy tickets to see them perform their old hits, and that's where they should exist. In our memories.
@Perseus67977 ай бұрын
@@jeremyneiderhoffit’s really both of those comments lol the genre is dead.but they could still make a very solid album IF they wanted to,but they don’t. So don’t milk it

Maybe calling him Pistol Pete is not the brightest idea if he really wants to make up. It's just salt in the wound and really sounds arrogant tbh. Also, he should stick to music.

I highly doubt he gives a rat shit about MGK. MGK is garbage
@jessicafb5398 Жыл бұрын
I believe that’s the point. He’s being passive. Colson’s violent communication obviously negatively impacted him, but he’s not talking about that, he’s putting a very positive spin on it.
@VanitasTheBest Жыл бұрын
@@jessicafb5398 Of course it impacted him, but he doesn't seem to be a good enough actor to not let it show. I saw behaviour similar to his in schizophrenic colleagues and friends, who couldn't deal with certain situations. They also tried to get something positive for themselves out of it, while still being hung up on it. If he's passive aggressively calling him Pistol Pete to cope with it he needs to talk about it with a specialist, but not in an interview on KZbin, imo.

The guy starring opposite Brian Cox in a REAL movie is not the bad actor in this story. You’re clearly a fan of this MGK clown but you’re out of your depth here.
@VanitasTheBest Жыл бұрын
@@ER-yr1th Brian Cox, even tho a great actor, is solely known for his side character roles. And just bc someone is playing a side character alongside someone like that doesn't make the person a good actor. I'm just stating what I'm seeing. And even if I was a fan of MGK, I'm still more of a person who doesn't mindlessly hate on other people just bc they're famous or whatever. If I am a fan you are a brainless goon that jumped on the hate bandwagon. Prove me wrong.

it’s the fact he asked right in front of Colson. i’m sure Tyson’s aware of all the sexualization Megan has endured her whole career. he wanted to test the waters plain and simple. just because they put the scene in there or the movies “sexual” doesn’t make the suggestion right. especially something so morbid. joking about necrophilia plus knowing they are together. any person would react the same way Colson did. we don’t know what happened behind closed doors. there’s two sides to every story and we’re only hearing one side. i just hope this doesn’t put more stress or strain on Megan and Colson’s relationship. especially when they’re trying to rebuild it. he’s definitely wanting something using their names. using Colson’s stage name and speaking about them. when they are always such a hot topic in the media.
