I'm not holding out against her cause.She came from a farm.Where his eggs and quiet to a city with lots of children on Halloween with which is freaking hurt.So I understand but I do not like that that she is growling in barking how do I stop her from doing this ?

My Dane has bit my boyfriend three times at one occasion, he's attempted to get at him several others. I bought the Dane a basketball and he still tries to charge at my boyfriend. I've only had him since April and he turns to today. Desperately need help

I’ve had Danes in my life since I was 8. I am now retired, and my wife and I have two Great Danes. They are incredibly sweet, very intelligent and gentle, despite their size. My in-laws loved our older Dane so much when we got her that they also got one. They are in their 80s now, and while their Dane passed away, they ‘babysit’ ours any time we need them to. We cannot fathom not having a Dane or two in our life ❤️

Danes are wonderful, but not perfect for everybody. I never met a Dane i didn't like, and I thoroughly enjoy interacting with my friends' Danes, but It's nice to be able to borrow one without taking up the payments. I have had Norwegian Elkhounds for almost forty years, a more suitable size for my home and my compact car and my feeding budget, but I've seen some monumental vet bills, too. An Elkhound is also a wonderful companion for the all-day hikes and more-than-moderately strenuous lifestyle of an active family. Not a good choice for a first dog, stubborn at times, but mine have always managed to train me fairly effectively.

They are great dogs I never net a Dane I didn't like. They are beautiful, adaptable, and really loving, often cuddle-bugs, but not the perfect dog for everybody. For me there's the Norwegian Elkhound.

And l hope that she is female bc female birth pups and will be more fun lm a big fan of danes! Especially that great dane on sale

Sadly another downside is that people can be intolerant of big dogs. When Danes are puppies and still learning, people can be impatient because they just see a big dog. Despite the downsides, they’re my favourite breed and I adore ours 🥰

If you are not getting a show dog, look for a breeder who breeds for health! This will give you more years with your new best friend. For all American's ... DON'T crop their ears. It's painful and unnecessary!

I try every summer since she was a baby but she hates it even with a life vest. I have scars from one of the few times I did manage to get her into the water. She goes under the water and bounces up off the bottom like a hippo it’s ridiculous lol She loves a good puddle with tall grass in it though she will zoom right through that creating her own wake. Bath tub, wet grass, lake or raining? Absolutely not lol

I’m a train wreck. I have a 9 month old Dane. He’s 125 pounds. He thinks I’m his girlfriend. He only bites me. He possessively bites me. Not to be gross but he only does it to me. Not my son, not my fiance and not my daughter. He wraps his front paw around my leg and he tries to bite my shirt, my arm or my body and when he does it he gets a little wee wee. It’s like he’s trying to dominate me. I’ve tried everything. This behavior is fairly new. A few weeks old. I work with him everyday. I spend the most time with him. But at this point I can’t take it anymore. I adore him. But it’s starting to scare me now. I don’t show him fear. But I’m also disabled and if he knocks me over I’m afraid he will clobber me. What do I do?

My Great Dane doesn’t like other people. My kids friends have to run if he’s out accidentally. It’s awful. Trying to fix this since kids will be in and out all summer.

I wish I knew more before okaying my son to bring a Dane home. But I will say this. I work with my 7 month old every day and he’s getting better but I wish I knew things before. This channel is helping me a lot. Thankfully my Oden baby is learning quick although he is rebellious. But he’s workable and we are making progress.
