Good morning, Teacher Yan. I have a sister in South Carolina, and I plan to apply to a school in her district to save on rent, as she wants me to live with her. Is it possible for me to first look for a job in her district and then choose a sponsor?

Thank you so much for your support. If I were in your place, I will only pursue SPED units if I am sure that my commitment for the program is 100%. At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself which one can you see yourself doing for [at least] the next five years. I hope this helps ☺️

Some sponsors will allow you to bring them right away; some will rather you have them follow once you've settled here.

Just something to clarify...for EPI, u are not paid immediately. You have to wait until 2 weeks in the following month.

FACES would cover up to 7 days of hotel accommodation if we can't really find a place to stay. After that, we have to shoulder the expenses.
