I guess you can always be upfront to them. I also know that some teachers apply to the school first (just make sure the school is within the scope of your sponsor) and then tell FACES about it. But i’m not that familiar with the process.

What about having the Toefl or certain certification with specific Score? Cause I want to become a candidate for the j1 program in Texas, I'm in México pretty much I have everything, but my Toefl expired since 2018, so I am going to do It again, but I read they ask for certain Score.. so I dont know

how do they verify the teaching experience ? is it through references or experience certificates?

It depends on your sponsor. Most sponsors have their own forms which you need to fill out accordingly.

Hi, maam. I would like to ask why other sponsors are requiring J1 visa processing teacher with different rate like mine is 1,500 dollars per academic year. I calculated the bill from my visa sponsor and total is 100k pesos. I have to pay them 100k. Pls enlighten me. Thank you.

Hi, po ma’am. I think that is because you’re dealing with an agency. As for me po, I’m with FACES which isn’t an agency but simply my Visa Sponsor that’s why we don’t pay them anything po. All our payments went straight to where it needed to be, i.e embassy and credential evaluation.

If i remember it right po, I finished my application around January then got an offer by April. It was July when we flew here in the US.

They never asked for a copy of our PRC I.D. As long as you transcript tells them that you have all the units that make you eligible to teach and you’ve had at least two years of fulltime teaching experience, you should be good.

@@amazingteacher2266 it depends on the dentist po pero most likely continue po. The consultation here and dental xray are free the first time you meet with the dentist. After that, they will present to you the dental plan.

For our sponsor po, as long as you’ve had a recent two-year full-time teaching experience. Other sponsors would require that you are currently teaching so best inquire with them po.

Hello po. Wala po actually required na thorough medical exam. Yung required lang is yung TB test which you can do either sa PH or sa US (pero mas mura pag sa Pinas).

Hello po. When I processed my resignation, it was the first time that the CFO implemented some additional requirements and protocols so medyo nahirapan in a sense na yung Division and Regional Offices namin hindi rin sure kng ano talaga hinihingi and need gawin. Pero now, baka mas oriented na po ang offices but the resignation process (from DepEd) will still be way longer and more complicated than getting the visa itself. So give ample time po for it.

Hi, sir. Sponsors are approved by the US government to give out the documents needed for a certain visa. For visas for teachers, sponsors can be private incorporations or school districts.
