no one will drastically change their total wheel size. but rather rim size. you should focus on the effect go going from 19" rim to 20" rim or something similar.

TRUE ! I met with an accident while driving suzuki swift during rainy season on highway, crumple zone absorbed all the force and all 4 of us were completely safe without any injury. But sadly the car was declared as total loss under insurance.

I might be picking nits here but at the depth of the Marianas trench water WOULD be compressed. Even if it's only 1 - 3%.. it is compressible. You probably wouldn't even notice the difference with the naked eye.. but still. You did, at one point, say water was practically incompressible but it wasn't clear. Anyways, love the info contained in this video, thanks

A 15 inch wheel is much lighter than a 19 inch wheel. Thats why the same car with smaller wheels accelerates faster. Because F=ma, so if mass is lower and the applied force or torque at the wheels is the same, then the acceleration will increase ! Its like 6 grade physics.

So what's the difference in wheel diameter?

I may be 3 years late but that's not how friction (traction) works my friend. If we keep the friction coefficient of the ruber the same (same manufacturer, same model) and the weight of the car the same then the traction the tyre produces is the same. It bites less in the road surface BUT it bites in a bigger area (bigger contact patch). So why make your wheels wider? Because of weight transfer. Accelerating squats the rear, braking the front and cornering the sides. So, when the weight of the car shifts then a tyre or tyres lose grip due to the fact that less pressure is applied on that side but the other wheel or wheels gain traction thanks to the weight that shifted there. So now you play with the tyre capacity, how much grip can it generate before braking traction. A wider tyre will always be able to generate more grip than a marrow one (same compound) because there is more material to grip the road that is utilized when the weight is shifted there. I think its clear enough but if my writing is confusing tell me to clarify.

2:52 i believe this is wrong, and wider tires offer the same if not more traction, even if the pressure is less due to it distributed on a wider contact patch, the Force applied itself is the same since the mass of vehicule is the same so is the coefficient of friction. And since the rubber is elastic, its compression is not linear thus even with lower pressure applied due to increased tire having more width, the contact area doesn't drop too much (since it's not linear), so you have a better grip with wider tires
