It’s exciting to watch a 45 ton haul truck run on batteries. Do you have more technical information/ specs on this EV?

One situation where EV really makes sense.

So the truck is manufactured on a mountain, when it reaches the show room at the bottom it's fully charged, so you can buy it and drive it to the jobsite.

Brilliant Thanks for sharing this. It seems so obvious once you hear the idea. Unfortunately it’s a very special case moving rocks down a mountain.
@arwo11434 жыл бұрын
Sooo My guess before watching On the haul down from the mountain it charges it’s batteries with Regen breaking And then just has to move the empty truck up EDIT I was right

You mean biggest BATTERY powered EV. The biggest EV is the Bucket Wheel Excavator . It's 100% electric, but uses mains power or basically a big freaking drop cord on steroids.

You are not clearly enough stating, that there are certain prerequisites, that must be fulfilled in order to carry the load: 1. There has to be a minimum load in order to obtain sufficient kinetic energy. Meaning that there is a valens point, which has to be held. If not, the batteries would not be loaded sufficiently to drive the truck back with empty load. 2. The truck can only go from a higher energy level to a lower. Meaning that if the cement factory was positioned on another higher ground, then this truck would be useless.

Nothing to say anything only salute for idea of implementing science👌👌, but what about if it not used at mount places and it used in normal places?, Can u think science hear also please, which helps lot to the environment
@roshinparameswaran48173 жыл бұрын
Normal EVs are also charging the battery through the regenerative braking. But not this much though

so you are not going to talk about their system of offloading the power? how long does it take when does it occur, what do they do with the power?
@snviper4 жыл бұрын
They put it into the grid overnight. But I don't know exactly how.
@offwhitemke3 жыл бұрын
@@snviper Oh, it can store the excess capacity and pass it onto the grid during off hours? Perhaps like the Energy Observer does with excess solar energy, it could process water to produce hydrogen to use when powering other equipment. That could make use of hydrogen fuel cells to make transferring the energy storage easier.
@markyates57442 жыл бұрын
Like a model 3. Regen is probably reduced as the battery nears full capacity so then they have to use the normal breaks. So yeah, might be wasted, or just powers the other electrics in the truck. I doubt they developed anything to release the gained energy. It's probably just stated that 10kwh extra is gained. But that 10 is probably wasted off.
@eldiablooooo2 жыл бұрын
@@markyates5744 no they can charge other vehicles on site or deliver the surplus back to the grid, in this instance they sell 200kWh back to the grid by the end of every day and start with an empty battery on the top of the hill.

it's a nice idea but it only favour the high Hill quarry

The truck does nothing. The rocks just fall down.

The truck just helps guide the falling
@justiceanim16273 жыл бұрын
To sum up, it charges itself, and your title says the contrary. What's the meaning of charging?
@offwhitemke3 жыл бұрын
It likely means it does not need to be plugged in to charge. Due to the fixed route and elevation change this is a special case which is being leveraged brilliantly.

This is not true, in real this truck consume more energy to go up than the amount of energy created by recuperating on way down. Needs to be recharged around onces per 3 days.
@no-damn-alias3 жыл бұрын
It goes downhill loaded. So more energy
@eldiablooooo2 жыл бұрын
No it generates more energy going down than it uses going up. Go back to school
@harrisonfelix41083 жыл бұрын
law of conservation of energy says energy can not be made or destroyed it can only be transfered from on thing to another ,so what you are saying in this video is wrong
@rohandeshpande78963 жыл бұрын
You are dumb dear, you don't know how to apply laws. Try doing some basic math and you will get there. The truck actually does what's said.
@b-chroniumproductions31773 жыл бұрын
The energy comes from the potential energy of the rocks in the mountain
@taminabratbrat40303 жыл бұрын
If we take the entire mining site and factory as one closed system the rocks 🪨 are just falling down due to gravity and the truck does zero work hence it doesn't violate the first law of thermodynamics
