nice tut! haven't hot dip dyeed in almost 10 years now so this was a good straight to the point refresher. I'd suggest mentioning how long you kept that disc in they dye before deciding to pull out. I also noticed you used quite a bit of vinyl which is smart to be able to wrap around the disc and also create those "handles" maybe mention that too .

Great vid of the discs! Have recently bought the Bird which flies well. A set of 3 have just arrived. "Disgo" GD driver, GM mid and GP2 putter, all 3 for £20 Awaiting the Dorado fairway and the Bison for £4 each which is really cheap! I'm encouraged by your throws with the Bison! Will try to post a vid sometime when the weather here improves. Thanks for your vid, looks lovely there at Bald park in Australia! Best wishes from a chilly autumn here in the UK.👍
@cameragadgetother2 ай бұрын
thanks for the kind comments. I am still loving the Star Bird (which is now PDGA approved). I bag it and throw it all the time for turning or uphill drives. I don't bag the others, but could see the slots they would fill if I did. Bison I did enjoy, it doesn't fly to the numbers, instead is nice and straight with a bit of finish. Might be time to dig them out for another round I think.
@wildriverguitarlockdownlic1102 ай бұрын
@@cameragadgetother great to see the very disc I have on order flying! yes the Star Bird is a very good reliable flight so far, should get Bison next week...sounds like it may be good on tight straight shots. Tomorrow I try the 3 Disgo discs sitting in the bag! I have a mixed bag of Innova/MVP/Discmania/Lat 64 so it's interesting to see these from China flying pretty good,even if flight numbers aren't always accurate. Yes definitely give them a go again, I'm curious as to how they "beat in" too👍
@IamtheWV172 ай бұрын
How did the disgo go? I've got the same ones coming! It seems like the GD might be the same mould as the Bird, and the GM is a Bison Mould? The GP2 looks like a zone from the photos (and xufo has a starZONE that seems to be the same mould)

Would have been nicer if they had looked and not pulled out on a road with an 80km limit.
@amypendragon51293 ай бұрын
@@cameragadgetother They probably did. I don't know this road personally or how busy it gets but we've all waited at a T intersection for what feels like forever and then had to take a risk in order to get out...or just started forward into the turn and then someone comes from out of nowhere with their foot flat to 80. I'm just saying It's ok to take your foot off for these situations and allow the person out. This is just my opinion, not fact.
@cameragadgetother3 ай бұрын
That's totally fair. I'm pretty sure this one just annoyed me because I've had other people not look at this intersection before. It's a country road, wide open view in both directions, and there was no one in front or behind me so they should have been able to see me. I did slow enough to let them through, but could have given them more of the benefit of the doubt.

Great video and lots to unpack. Will think for a few days, but my main thought is the “bigger” something gets, the more the rot sets in. I’ve seen it in so many of my hobbies, and I tend to just sidle towards the exit door. Facebook, where it is so easy to tap out a few minutes of thoughtless invective before swiping onto the next thing, is big and would only amplify that. I will leave with a quote from the remarkable Lady Catherine de Bourgh speaking on music … “if I had ever learnt, I should have been a great proficient.”

As someone who was just forced to go through the appallingly underfunded public medical system last week with my wife, even though we pay for private healthcare, the state of healthcare and hospitals is absolutely unacceptable in a first world country.
