I got two rats a month ago, one seems fine but the other is sneezing a lot and stays in the corner like you said. He doesn't look sick or anything, and they did come from a hoarding situation, so they've been pretty scared. Is he just stressed?

Yeah it's sad this November 2023 i lost my rat wormtail age 2 she had a tummor and it got so bad affected her brain 😢had to put her i miss her so much so do her ratty mates

I think one of my rats went blind. Her name is Shadow and she went from being an overactive little comedian to living on just the first floor of her four story cage. She used to eat everything and now I have to hold food in front of her while she eats it from my fingers instead of her own. Your video helped me a lot and wanted to thank you so very much!

True. I'm an artist and when my rats pass away I draw them to cope with my grief. I have a canvas on my wall with 2 of my babies so far, the plan is to add rats when they pass and order a new canvas for the art every time.

This is so annoying for me. It doesn’t make sense. I had him checked by a vet, given medicine, changed the environment to a not colored non-toxic 95% dust free super absorbent bedding and my cage clean day is Friday and it’s not Friday yet. They act absolutely normal not sick at all but more often than not it’s this little sneeze I can’t get them to stop! My little boys are perfectly healthy it looks like. No discharge, clean fur, very energetic, and sleeping soundly when needed but it’s just sneeze after sneeze for my older boy and my little boy will do it from time to time. I’m doing everything I can took them to the vet changed almost everything and am frustrated that after all of that they still make noises 😭

Fluoroquinolone antibiotics, like enrofloxacin are very dangerous. Be careful not to get it on your skin, its lipofilic meaning it will absorb though your skin easily. Or better yet, dont use it at all. Use penicillins or another antibiotic

Every noticed that rats will often pick ledges over hammocks? This tells you they don't care about fluffy hammocks. I want to upgrade my critter nation to fine mesh ledges and material mesh hammocks that way they won't be walking or sleeping in their own urine anymore it will also make cleaning a breeze

I just rescued a rat who is 3.5 years old and has two large mammary tumors she is full of life and ears and drinks water and boggles and is super happy but was wondering how to make her comfortable and if she is too old to even try to get them removed :(
